Excerpt:

After more than two months of negotiations, lawyers for the league and Walsh finally reached an agreement on April 23 on terms that will allow him to talk with Goodell. They include an agreement by the Patriots not to sue Walsh and to pay his legal expenses and his airfare to New York from Hawaii, where he is now a golf pro.

The Pats are paying for Walsh's legal counsel? That's just weird.

Guys! What have you learned in this one year. The sports journalists have single digit IQs. They are scumbags with no ethics. This even does not look like he is lying. He just does not know enough English to write a proper sentence. NFL agreed to pay his airfare to visit Goddell and legal expenses that he may incur during the visit but not incurred during the past 3 months. Patriots only agreed not to sue him I guess for stolen property. The low IQ jjournalist could read the agreement and combined two different clauses.

Actually, to be precise, I believe the agreement did not specify exactly how the NFL and the Pats would split the costs, and, frankly, at this exact moment, who cares?

I think this is actually a misprint. Didn't the Pats agree not to sue him, but the NFL agreed to pay his legal fees and travel costs to come to the meeting with Goodell? This is just sloppy wording or misinformation.

Doesn't matter who paid. Point is that Judas Walsh had no incentive to come forward because he didn't want his bluff called.

Therefore, the NFL/Patriots agreed to pay for all his past legal expenses over this issue to give him some financial incentive to come clean. He took the cash and now we all know that he basically had NOTHING of value.

Brilliant move by the NFL/Patriots and well worth the cost.

On top of this, if he has nothing, they can go right back and sue him for the money back. His golf game better step up if he wants to pay it back

No, they can't; not having anything damaging is not grounds, in this case, for a lawsuit, since he (apparently) lived up to the terms of the agreement.

They agreed to pay for his trip to New York and what his attorney charges for attending the meeting with Goodell there. Not for all the expenses he has incurred with Levy since the start.

This doesn't answer the question of who originally retained Levy and why....

Levy's former lawfirm has direct ties to Comcast which has direct ties to Specter - both of whom have lucrative agendas with the NFL

Does anyone think this is a coincidence?
