Run, run, run. Pound it up the middle, rotate Ridley, BJGE. Come out and literally run every play, until...we get a good defensive personnel package on the field. Osi, Tuck, etc. on the sidelines, then BOOM...no huddle. Pass, pass, pass. Get up on the line ultra-quick, no time for personnel changes. Just short pass and screen it down the field. In the endzone before they know what hit them.

    That would be fun.

I agree...except about Ridley. He won't play. BB sat him after he fumbled against Denver and the entire Baltimore game. What makes you think he'll play him in the biggest game of the year?

I don't know if he'll play. I WANT him to play. If I had to guess, I'd say less than 50% chance he actually plays.

The Giants played a lot of nickle at Gillette but flooded the box with defenders figuring by doing so they would have the best of both worlds. They have to stay committed to the run but this isn't the Corey Dillon offense. I think they need to hit a couple of vertical routes to get the Giants to loosen up against the run and intermediate passing game. I'd like to see those hits come out of play action not out of the spread. I'd much rather they throw out of running formations which will also allow the TEs to hit the DEs on the way out.

Because he runs better than the other RBs?

Old school...line it up and run it and use play action. Neutralize that pass rush.

Some runs to the outside by AH and Ridley (if they'll let him touch the ball) would probably help too. I think the Giants will definitely make the Pats use the sidelines before they soften up much over the middle.

The Giants are a fast defense though and if it's Benny that doesn't play to his strength. I think they are better off going off tackle and pulling either Mankins or Waters in conjuction with Solder and Gronk to trap and seal the alley. I want to see them punish those smaller Giant linemen when they do run. Slow them down.

I bet they run a reverse at some point to slow them down as well.

I for one, pray that our Pats are not afraid to run the ball. Saw one of the Giants last night say that they were surprised in the last SB that the Pats hardly ran the ball. My guess is because of that, and because the Patriots never seem to want to run, that running could very well be effective. I have a hunch that BB soured quicky on Ridley because of the fumbling, and I think that is a mistake.

3 touchdowns before the half so that the Giants will have to come from behind. This time they will fail.

I'd like to see some trickery. Remember when the Patriots played at SD several years ago, I think Brees was still the quarterback. SD kept doing a fake reverse to Tim Dwight and handing off to Tomlinson - Pats had never seen such an offensive set/play and they got gashed big time. Or, how bout the wildcat? Not saying the Patriots should employ the wildcat, just saying that when Miami broke it out the Pats had never seen it and it wreaked havoc. How bout the Pats having something "new" that no one's seen before?????

Everyone thinks this team is a finesse team, the Patriots dominated both lines of scrimmages against Baltimore and Denver. The Giants will be a tougher test. Should be fun.

Maybe some TE screens or even a FB screen like Green Bay has done this year.
