First I want to see a win because that is what really counts. But, I'd like to see some other things without being unrealistic.

    1. A crisp, fired up, and focused team on both sides and ST's.

    2. Only one or 2 penalties. Asking for none is unrealistic.

    3. Matt Light handeling Taylor so he stays off Tom.

    4. No turnovers and maximum ball security.

    5. Doug Gabriel with 3 or more receptions so he becomes part of the offense. And, Caldwell continuing his good play.

6.Hobbs not falling for the double move.

I'm sure some of you have some things to add.

I'd like to see one thing.

    A WIN.

Don't care how we get it. A win is a win.

I agree with all your points. I would like to add that Watson not cough up the ball, turn over or not. Since he shook off his case of the dropsies, he has caught fumblitis instead. A far more serious condition.

    i'd settle for 2 of the 6

this is a good team that's getting better.
matt light does OK. not the VERY best. he's injured like everyone else. and he's playing at the wrong position. kaczur was draeted to be the LT. matt light is supposed to be a RT. if we can ever get light over there, watch the OL take off.
turnovers? is anyone going thru games with 0 turnovers?
i was not happy with the selection of hobbs in the 1st place.
penalties? that goes with well disciplined football teams. not here, at least not yet.

Just a win, and hopefully Maroney plays.. Which would help slow Miami's pass rush..

I'd like to see another game like the Chicago game. For all it's flaws, turnovers, fumbles, it was the most exciting game to watch this year. The intensity was high from the beginning to the end. And the Pats win.

Agreed, I am not a coach, just a well intended long time fan... leave the game planning up to the coaches, they got us to 9-3 and will get us all the way back to Pro Player Stadium. There is not a lot of style amongst the league leaders right now.. look at Chicago last week 107 total yards of O. The Colts are not scoring big, this is the last 1/4 of this marathon, just win, do not matter how they do it.

    NEM,
It has finally become clear to me.
You would be happy if the Patriots fired Bill Belichick. I'm not being a smart-***** I just realized that everything you always say we should do are polar opposities of Bill Belichicks philosophy.
NEMs opinions mirror the philosophies of Mike Martz, Don Coryell, Mouse Davs, etc, etc. that see the goal of football to be to score the most points possible and do it at any cost.
Those of us that disagree with NEM vociferously probably always will, because most of those who do seem to also be tremendous BB supporters, and disagree with the pass happy, high risk, high reward approach.

    Andy has Bingo. :D

NEM lambastes the OC's because he knows bashing BB would garner little or no support. I have tried on several occasions over the years to explain to him that this offense emanates from a HC whose conservative defense oriented approach favors lower risk, ball control, hardnosed, power running, exploit the weakness passing, tailored to take what an opponent gives you offense. It is not a this is what we do, now try to stop us offense. It's an opertunistic chameleon based on brains and guile as much as talent. Much like his defense. And it is HIS, which is why you will never see a Mike Martz or other offensive guru brought in to install something that isn't, not to mention something he beat like a dead horse and exposed to the point it cost the stubborn genius Martz his HC job.

    I would like to see the Patriots play 60 minutes of good football;

    1. Stop coughing up the football
    2. 5 or 6 long drives
    3. Defense stoping the pass
    4. Keep the Fins out of the end zone.

I would like to see a similar game when we played the Vikes.

Bingo! And to carry that beyond NEM, who is a hopeless case.

All those people who are critcal of McDaniels are really being critical of BB. McDaniels is implementing BB's offense, his game plan is BB's, and BB' hears every play called during the game and can overrule at anytime.

And, if McDaniels isn't doing BB's bidding, BB can and probably would relieve him of the OC duties.
Some people can't think as far as their noses, if that far..

It kind of follows that his first OC was a guy without a ton of experience but who worked in a system witha similar philosophy, and his 2nd was a guy who know no other way, and had zero experience.
When you hire experienced coordinators, you hire them for their ideas.
When you hire inexperienced ones you hire them to carry your ideas.
