First I want to see a win because that is what really counts. But, I'd like to see some other things without being unrealistic.

1. A crisp, fired up, and focused team on both sides and ST's.

2. Only one or 2 penalties. Asking for none is unrealistic.

3. Matt Light handeling Taylor so he stays off Tom.

4. No turnovers and maximum ball security.

5. Doug Gabriel with 3 or more receptions so he becomes part of the offense. And, Caldwell continuing his good play.

6.Hobbs not falling for the double move.

I'm sure some of you have some things to add.

I'd like to see one thing.

A WIN.

Don't care how we get it. A win is a win.

I agree with all your points. I would like to add that Watson not cough up the ball, turn over or not. Since he shook off his case of the dropsies, he has caught fumblitis instead. A far more serious condition.

all so sar are dynamite.

i'd settle for 2 of the 6

this is a good team that's getting better.
matt light does OK. not the VERY best. he's injured like everyone else. and he's playing at the wrong position. kaczur was draeted to be the LT. matt light is supposed to be a RT. if we can ever get light over there, watch the OL take off.
turnovers? is anyone going thru games with 0 turnovers?
i was not happy with the selection of hobbs in the 1st place.
penalties? that goes with well disciplined football teams. not here, at least not yet.

I would like to see both Maroney and Jackson be more a part of the offense, if in fact they play.

Maroney as a receiver coming out of the backfield, and Jackson on a deep post, or two.....early in the game.

I am not expecting a lot from Jackson. He is definitely a rookie bust. That does not mean he will not improve. It just means don't expect a lot from him for the rest of this year. Maybe one or two downfield attempts per game. I never liked rookie WR's anyway.http://208.109.107.176/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showthread.php?p=85123#post85123

Play action inside the red zone and not try to ram the ball in on consecutive 1st and 2nd downs.....

The Pats have the best red zone offense in the league.

Hobbs NOT in the starting lineup at corner. They will try to match Chambers on Hobbs and Chambers will eat him up.

Hobbs is at Least the 2nd best corner on this team. True, he has to work on getting his hips around faster, but after Asante, who would you rather see at corner?

My apologies for not being board savvy enough to do the multiple quote thing.

It is wrong, IMO, to say you dont expect a lot from a player just because he is a rookie. Terry Glenn caught just under 100 passes his rookies. season. Many other rookie receivers did likewise, Anquan Boldin.... and many others caught anywhere from 50 on up....including Larry FitsGerald... Jackson can be as good as they are, IMO, but he needs to be used and thrown to....people have gottne down on him because he dropped a pass, and that is unfair..all receivers drop passes..... He needs to be used more and be more involved in the offense, and I think people will see just how good he can be. ..NEM

Jackson would be seeing more playing time if he was showing improvement and ability during practice each week. Obviously he hasn't....That doesn't mean he will remain a bust. Perhaps with the whole offseason program ahead of him, he will develop.

The could make it easier with some play action. That's all I am suggesting. And, I am not sure that it is the "best" in the NFL...NEM

Looking for the stat, and of course I cant find it now that I need it. But as a percent of scores in the red zone and percent of TD's to total scores (something like 67%), the Pats hold the lead. Damn! I wish I could find it.

If Hobbs is the 2nd best corner on this team, then we are in very bad trouble. He gets beaten constantly, first on quick inside routes, and then on the mid range and deeper passes with double moves, as one poaster already attested to. He is too small and too late to react, that is why he gets so many interference calls.... He gets there, but not in time to reach around the receiver for the ball, consequently, he interferes just before the ball makes contact. He is our weakest link on the corner.

Chad Scott did not have a great game last week, but overall I would rather see him on the corner than Hobs, and relegate hobbs to nickel, or dime, back...

I prefer Hobbs. I see their roles reversed as compared to you, but thats a difference of opinion (hmmm...doesn't a certain head coach agree with my assessment?) However, I have long held that the corners need to get bigger and faster to withstand the rigors of playing these new style WR's around the league. I would love to see an upgrade at corner this offseason, and then, yes, we could use Hobbs as a nickel back.

Just a win, and hopefully Maroney plays.. Which would help slow Miami's pass rush..

I'd like to see another game like the Chicago game. For all it's flaws, turnovers, fumbles, it was the most exciting game to watch this year. The intensity was high from the beginning to the end. And the Pats win.

Brady throw for 400+ and 4 TD's. GO PATS!

CJ gets a 60 yard TD reception in the 1st qtr, opening up Miami's D:rocker:

Agreed, I am not a coach, just a well intended long time fan... leave the game planning up to the coaches, they got us to 9-3 and will get us all the way back to Pro Player Stadium. There is not a lot of style amongst the league leaders right now.. look at Chicago last week 107 total yards of O. The Colts are not scoring big, this is the last 1/4 of this marathon, just win, do not matter how they do it.

I was trying to be realistic. Looks like others ar doing wet dreams.:singing:

A solid win with no turnovers and no injuries.

I would like to see us not try to run into a stone wall if Miami has geared to stop the run.

I think we can damage the Dolphins with the quick passing game.

I would like to see the no huddle in the first quarter, not at the end of the fourth when we are trying to come back to win the game.

I would like to see both Maroney and Jackson be more a part of the offense, if in fact they play.

Maroney as a receiver coming out of the backfield, and Jackson on a deep post, or two.....early in the game.

I would like to see more blitzing by the linebackers, and an occasional safety blitz. (Sanders looked pretty quick last week on one)

Stunting by the DL.

Play action inside the red zone and not try to ram the ball in on consecutive 1st and 2nd downs.....

More inside passing routes than outside routes. Brady appears weak on the outside routes and thrives on the inside routes.

Other than that, just a win.....nothing less.

We can NOT play from behind in this game. We need a strong 1st quarter and 1st half.

Hobbs NOT in the starting lineup at corner. They will try to match Chambers on Hobbs and Chambers will eat him up.

NEM,
It has finally become clear to me.
You would be happy if the Patriots fired Bill Belichick. I'm not being a smart-***** I just realized that everything you always say we should do are polar opposities of Bill Belichicks philosophy.
NEMs opinions mirror the philosophies of Mike Martz, Don Coryell, Mouse Davs, etc, etc. that see the goal of football to be to score the most points possible and do it at any cost.
Those of us that disagree with NEM vociferously probably always will, because most of those who do seem to also be tremendous BB supporters, and disagree with the pass happy, high risk, high reward approach.

Andy has Bingo. :D

NEM lambastes the OC's because he knows bashing BB would garner little or no support. I have tried on several occasions over the years to explain to him that this offense emanates from a HC whose conservative defense oriented approach favors lower risk, ball control, hardnosed, power running, exploit the weakness passing, tailored to take what an opponent gives you offense. It is not a this is what we do, now try to stop us offense. It's an opertunistic chameleon based on brains and guile as much as talent. Much like his defense. And it is HIS, which is why you will never see a Mike Martz or other offensive guru brought in to install something that isn't, not to mention something he beat like a dead horse and exposed to the point it cost the stubborn genius Martz his HC job.

I would like to see the Patriots play 60 minutes of good football;

1. Stop coughing up the football
2. 5 or 6 long drives
3. Defense stoping the pass
4. Keep the Fins out of the end zone.

I would like to see a similar game when we played the Vikes.

Bingo! And to carry that beyond NEM, who is a hopeless case.

All those people who are critcal of McDaniels are really being critical of BB. McDaniels is implementing BB's offense, his game plan is BB's, and BB' hears every play called during the game and can overrule at anytime.

And, if McDaniels isn't doing BB's bidding, BB can and probably would relieve him of the OC duties.
Some people can't think as far as their noses, if that far..

It kind of follows that his first OC was a guy without a ton of experience but who worked in a system witha similar philosophy, and his 2nd was a guy who know no other way, and had zero experience.
When you hire experienced coordinators, you hire them for their ideas.
When you hire inexperienced ones you hire them to carry your ideas.
