After we re-sign Edelman. I think we should look to bring in the following (i'm not putting Boldin/Decker because i think they will re-sign)

Nicks - The most talented. He's big, strong, good hands. We can finally get a top notch outside WR. I know he's got health issues, but he's the best of the group.
James Jones - if he's available he can play on the outside, put up good numbers with Rodgers. We might have to overpay for him, but he could help us.
Kevin Walters - 6'3, put up solid numbers in Houston with
Britt- talented, but a head case. if the price is right, i would take the risk
Dominik Hixon - solid, not great.

Give me just one of these and I'll be happy. Score two of them and I'll go ape ****.

James Jones
Emmanuel Sanders
Hakeem Nicks

I would say Riley Cooper, play him as a receiver/tight end.

But i don't think he leaves Philly.

Another thing, people do realize we have three rookie receivers that will likely be back next year, plus Amendola and Slater. That's five spots there, and hopefully Edelman will be the sixth one. Do we even have room to bring in a high-priced free agent at receiver.

We're not going with the same WR corps.

It will be Edelman, new WR, Amendola, Dobson, Gronk, another new TE

first and foremost, retaining Edelman is essential. Then, I'd love Golden Tate-- but the dude does have attitude issues. Maclin would work instead if they're sure he's healthy.

Boldin and Maclin highlight that group for me.

I wouldn't want Boldin unless it was for very cheap, guy is getting up there in age and it could be any season now before he goes into decline. Especially because his game is so physical.

I also believe that he has said he would retire before ever playing in NE.

Resign Edelman. Give me Maclin and Britt. Draft Amaro in the first round. Problem solved.

Riley Cooper

Different conference, coaches apparently have a good relationship, we did some joint practices last off season and our QB's are all white, I think he's a good fit to play TE.

So we're already gonna give up on Boyce and Thompkins? Hard to imagine.

Call me crazy but I have a funny feeling that someone else is going to outbid us for Edelman and I think BB knows that he will have to leverage Amendola for the position he was signed for as THE slot WR. This won't be such a bad thing as that money can then be spent on a big, outside guy (Nicks, Cooper).

I think we could all live with this

Dobson, (Nicks/Cooper), Thompkins outside
Amendola (healthy), Boyce inside

Gronk, (Gonzales\1st or 2nd round TE)

If we don't keep Edelman (don't think we will), I'd like to see them grab Sanders.

Boldin is too expensive and wouldn't come here, I don't think. Nicks would probably be priced out.

I'd love to see them try to grab Cotchery. The guy is totally under-appreciated and great in the red zone...and could be had on the cheap.

I'd like to have the faith you guys have on Thompkins. If we draft of sign a FA WR I think he's no lock to make the 53 man roster next training camp.

We're not going with Amendola, that's crazy talk.

We'll resign Edelman (might have to overpay) and start adding guys. KT will be gone, Dobson will stay.

we should go after a guy like

nicks or sanders.

we could get bolsin san fran wont bring him back.

but i would rather try to get abother corner and sign talib back.

brent grimes sam shields type guy

It has already begun ......

Julian Edelman - New England Patriots - 2014 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

Tom Brady is already stumping for the Patriots to re-sign free agent Julian Edelman.

Edelman, 27, set career highs in catches (105), yards (1,056), and touchdowns (6) this season, emerging as New England's best receiver both inside and out. "He had an incredible season," said Brady. "... I mean, he was one guy that was so consistent and dependable for us." Edelman is Rotoworld's No. 4 free agent receiver, behind Eric Decker, Jeremy Maclin, and Hakeem Nicks.

Emmanuel Sanders is extremely overrated. I would rather re-sign the known commodity in Julian Edelman than risk yet another underwhelming outsider (Ochostinko, Lloyd, Amendola).

Here is another one, although he is a TE, Jimmy Graham of the Saints. Talk about immediate impact. But, he has said he wants to stay in New Orleans, and my guess is he most likely will. But, if the Saints are not showing signs of giving him what he wants, the Pats may want to take a very close look. He would be the ultimate replacement for Mr Homicide.
