Troy Brown and Ty Law. Who's next? McGinest? Ted Johnson?
Awesome! Two of my all time favorite players.
I love it, Law is one of my all time favorites.
If they bring back Bledsoe I'll be so happy
i would like to see lawyer milloy as a captain.
Honorary!?!?!?! Let him suit up and play in some nickel formations!
I think it's Terry Glenn.
Bruschi !! : :rocker:
I'll be curious to see who the other two are. My first instinct would be to say Tedy Bruschi and Rodney Harrison, but I wonder if they either don't want to accept due to their current positions with national networks, or if either of those networks would ask them to refrain from doing so.
If not Bruschi or Harrison, then who? Willie McGinest? Drew Bledsoe? Lawyer Milloy?
It's tough to narrow it down to four and not feel as if somebody left behind should not have been excluded.
Don't think she's available...
Doubt it. Being an honorary captain is not too much of a departure from their gigs on the networks.
JR Redmond. He was key in the 2001 SB
They are honoring the 1996 team only.<-----wrong
I was wrong. 4 players who were on both the 1996 and 2001 teams.
Bruce Armstrong, Drew Bledsoe ... or too really piss off the jesters, their favorite son.. Curtis Martin.. ouch
Maroney and Meriweather? Am i doing it right?
No, you ruined this thread.
The 96 Marshall team?
Sh--! Randy Moss is coming back everyone!
Ty Law??? Look I really appreciate what he did for the Pats and all but he's got Jets cooties. Get him out of here!
In Ty's honor, Arrington should pull a "Bourque" and remove #24, hand it back to its rightful owner, and play as #29 going forward.
Tedy has been named the 3rd honorary captain.

Did law "get paid" to be an honorary captain?
Still, have some fond memories of his play...like picking Peyton off 3 times in the playoffs.
If there was a chance for this team to start slow, hopefully this serves as an emotional lift.
now let's wait the 4th...Willie, Drew, Adam, or ?
Bledsoe's the 4th
Ty Law is the man. He's so manly he's the men.
I think this honorary team could beat the Jets 2011 team.
Bit of a surprise to me. I thought for sure Willie McG.
Good for Drew, glad he's coming back. Great memories of him leading the Pats to big wins.
Interesting that BB had all those photos taken down last year and the Pats are inviting old guys back this year; good balance of moving forward and acknowledging the tradition.
Carl Ripken jr is the baltimore honorary captain and also a good luck charm
