Everyone wins!
Think about it before you answer...

Please explain how evveryone wins?:)

You want to trade an established wr for an injured rookie who may/may not
ever become a good player? No thanks. And, since your an active trader.
I have this land near my parents house in Fla. It's primo real estate. 1 acre
lot for say 100k. What do you think?

Branch wins another team overpays him.

NE wins Greenway rehabs here and learns the system starts next year.
(Branch is just about the money and owes us just 6 or so games this year)
(Locker room learns unless your a pro bowler honor your contract)

Point is we get great value 4 years of top talent under contract vs 6 games of a selfish malcontent.

Maybe you understand that recievers are better because brady throws to them...
Patten dropped off
Reche is blossuming
Givens will drop off (IMO)
and so would Branch (IMO)

Would Greenway fit our system?

And isn't he perfect for the cover 2, whcih is what the Vikes are running!

Dude! Why aren't you working for the Patriots front office ? Thats brilliant!

trading branch no way bro, thats not a good trade. frankiesfly. yes samuel is under rated.

This better be a joke, otherwise your ID and password should be revoked.

If your following the situation, Branch is saying he will sit out till week 10 or whatever. (Despite being offerred 6.5M for the next 3 yrs)
If he doesnt show up at the start of the season lets make lemonade out of lemons and get MAXIMUM value from him.
(Lelie's value is a 3rd rounder now)
Besides the talent in our offense looks really great.
This is just something to consider.
Otherwise he could have some value down the playoff stretch of course.(before leaving in FA next year)
(Also consider the age of our LBs next year)

I'd trade Beisel for Greenway. lol

Branch for Jerry Porter. The raiders already took away hamilton, washington, starks, etc, so why not do a trade. I wonder if Al Davis is still a little pissed off about that one game in the snow?? ;)

Right now, we can't get fair trade value for Branch. Branch will play here, whether starting week 1, week 4, or week 10. He will play, he will have the franchise, or more likely, transition tag slapped on him. At that point, Branch will either sign a long-term deal, or continue his role as malcontent. In that case, if another team doesn't sign him to a sheet, he will probably be traded around draft time.

Considering the Pats play the Vikings in Minnesota after the trade deadline I would have to believe that giving them a weapon of malevolence could be very damaging to the teams record as well as in the Locker room. Giving this guy to a team we face this year would most surely backfire in some way (remember the Buffalo loss). On the other hand trading him to a team such as KC, a team that I don't believe will make the playoffs and plays Miami late in the season could be beneficial if things get really ugly in the contract negotiaition and the East is as tight as many of the pundits believe it will be. The question would then be what value would KC have in trade. I'm sure they wouldn't give up Derrick Johnson.
