Good job!:rocker:

fox has updated their topp 500 list, it appears.

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6421386

I have updated the sheet with the new fox top 500 list and also the above N2FL list. As it sits right now according to fox's top 500 this is our draft.

Lawrence Timmons OLB Florida State
Reggie Nelson FS Florida
Manuel Ramirez OG Texas Tech
H.B. Blades ILB Pittsburgh
Jon Abbate ILB Wake Forest
Tim Duckworth OG Auburn
Jordan Kent WR Oregon
Jordan Palmer QB Texas-El Paso

That actually does not at all seem unrealistic. Actually I would put that about dead on.

thanks for the spreadsheet. i went through and replaced all "#N/A" values with the next number in the rankings (ie for the GBN all unranked people got 151, for most of the others everyone got 101). then did a simple average which gave the following first round:

1. Calvin Johnson
2. Joe Thomas
3. JaMarcus Russell
4. Adrian Peterson
5. Brady Quinn
6. Gaines Adams
7. Alan Branch
8. LaRon Landry
9. Jamaal Anderson
10. Amobi Okoye
11. Ted Ginn Jr.
12. Levi Brown
13. Leon Hall
14. Marshawn Lynch
15. Adam Carriker
16. Dwayne Jarrett
17. Patrick Willis
18. Jarvis Moss
19. Greg Olsen
20. Lawrence Timmons
21. Reggie Nelson
22. Dwayne Bowe
23. Robert Meachem
24. Darrelle Revis
25. Paul Posluszny
26. Sidney Rice
27. Charles Johnson
28. Aaron Ross
29. Ryan Kalil
30. Chris Houston
31. Michael Griffin
32. Anthony Spencer

I'd like to see revis at 24, but obviously the pats wouldn't take both cbs. i'd like to see a trade out of 28 if that's what's available, like many.

the rest of the pats' draft:
3 - Marshall Yanda OT Iowa 6-4 304 5.12
4 - Michael Okwo ILB Stanford 6-0 225 4.68
6 - Isaiah Stanback QB Washington 6-3 215 4.6
6 - Dan Santucci OG Notre Dame 6-3 300 5.2

Positional rankings...

Rick Gosselin's NFL Draft Rankings

For those who don't know, Gosselin's earned reputation is founded on accuracy. His rankings, mocks, and top 100, are not created from his own opinions, but rather a compilation of opinions from scouts and GMs. Now these are his first rankings, so they'll undoubtedly change as we get nearer the draft (and get more accurate).

No real shockers here, but a few key Pats prospects to consider:
  • He has Meachem as the #3 ranked WR, which may put him inside the top 23 picks
  • Staley is also the #3 ranked, making him an option at #24
  • Carriker is ranked as the #5 DE after Moss and Spencer (don't agree here)
  • Stewart Bradley as the #4 OLB, which may move him up early
  • Justin Durant of Hampton as the #3 ILB after Willis and Harris
How about some feedback please -- this thread needs some life.

He is rating DE as a base 4-3 pass rushing ends, all four above him are quick first step ends, whereas Carriker is a power end.

Leonard is classified as a FB and not a RB, even if he gets back up to 238 he's still more RB than FB.

I've had Bradley as my #1 3-4 LB, so #4 as a 4-3 SLB isn't a surprise.

Understood.

Point being from a Pats perspective - if we want him, and Gosselin has him ranked after the 3 first-round probables Timmons, Beason, Pos -- then chances are Bradley goes next and won't make it to the Pats 3rd round pick. Regardless of our own rankings, Bradley was thought to be in the 3-4 range. Now it appears, he may have moved into that 2-3 range (if these rankings are accurate).

Just something to consider while we wait...:)

Which just goes back to my very first mock in PATSNUTMe's game thread calling for Bradley in the first round. :p

Gosselin's positional rankings...

Gosselin just updated (and expanded) his positional rankings to his top 10 at each position:

Gosselin NFL Draft rankings

FWIW, #'s 2, 5, and 10 are my favorite CBs for the Pats.

Just for fun, where does Gosselin have your favorite Pats prospects ranked?

His safety rankings really caught my eye. Gattis & Wendling out of the top 10, Alexander and Frampton in?
