If I remember rightly, the last two times he was selected he went to Pebble Beach instead.

Because he wasn't selected as the starter, he was an alternate at the Manning Bowl in the past. He will attend this year because he was named the starter. Plus, it's more fun when you fly over from the Superbowl and all the other guys are in awe of what you just did. Besides, with Bill uninvited we'll need all 8+ Patriots recruiters on site to counter Dungy and his coaching staff.
