I suppose this is a minor nit to pick, but Gregg Easterbrook wrote on the Brady to Moss to Brady to Gaffney play:
My recollection from the replays is that Gaffney slowed up midway through his route in order to sell the play. Is my recollection correct? I thought I'd ask some people who probably pay more attention to these things than I do.

Just a couple of weeks ago, I was telling the safeties of my county-league, middle school team: When a receiver is sprinting purposefully deep on a play that looks like a run, it means he knows something you don't know. Anytime a receiver is sprinting at full speed in this situation, assume a trick play!
