Don't expect the haters to love Hobbs until he has 10 ints. Alot of people didnt like Assante until he had his 10 ints.
I guess they figure ints = greatness
I've been pro-Hobbs his whole career for the role he played, which was always #2 (and rookie year #3) CB. However, I was pretty down on him in the #1 corner capacity, especially after we saw nothing to show he had improved in the preseason. He has been OUTSTANDING through the first two games, doing everything a #1 corner does...breaking up passes 1 on 1, intercepting a pass 1 on 1, sack with a forced fumble, sure tackling, everything. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. This is two games, and he has usually started the season a lot better than he's finished it. If he continues this way all year, I'd be ecstatic, but I'm not assuming things will continue so well.
O'SNAP! We GOTS DElThA O'NeAL! He'S MAD gOOd.
LooK He JUST GOT 10 INTS Like 3 years ago!
ummmm.......hate to break this to you....but
Hobbs is still at RCB,this is not the #1 CB position, the LCB,where Asante Samuel played is the position that generally plays against the best wideouts.
I'm not trying to quibble,as I believe Hobbs has been the defensive star the first 2 games.Hobbs never switches sides to LCB,nor does he follow a star receiver all over the field, like Darrelle Revis.
Even though he may become our best CB,he won't get the big money unless he moves over to the left side, like Asanta Samuel did in his 2nd year.

This isn't entirely true. Especially against teams like the Jets who's WRs switch up. OH, yes, the Pats WRs switch up as well.
The Jets were in MAN coverage the entire game. The Pats weren't. It makes a difference.
This is utter stupidity and not true.
