THE 49 MAN ROSTER (46 safe)
49 is really all we need. The bottom four positions can be used for various purposes such as special teams, depth, development and injury. The Shadow Roster and the Practice Squad can help out for these functions. There is plenty of room for pickups if pioli so wishes. I don't the picks any tougher than in previous years.
OFFENSE (22) 20 safe
2 QB, 4 RB, 4 TE, 4 WR, 8 OL
(WR's are Branch or replacement fa,Jackson,Brown,Caldwell)
#4 RB spot Evans vs. Cobbs
#8 OL Spot Stevenson vs. Britt
------------------------------------
DEFENSE (24) 23 safe
6 DL, 9 LB, 9 DB
starting 3 DL's plus Green, Wirght and Sullivan now seem safe
starting 4 LB's plus Bruschi plus Sters Izzo, Davis and Gardner seem safe
starting 4 db's plus Hawkins, Sanders, Gay, Chad Scott and Andrews safe
#9 LB - Chad Brown vs. Mincey vs. Woods vs Alexander vs. Klecko vs. Beisel
---------------------------------------
SPECIALISTS (3) 3 safe
-----------------------------------
FURTHER ASSUMPTIONS
IR Mitchell, Hill
PUP Pass
-------------------------------------
WE STILL HAVE MORE ROSTER SPOTS - CHOOSE FOUR
a 10th DB (I'm counting Andrews in the 9)
a 7th DL
a 10th LB / Ster
an 11th LB / Ster

MY CURRENT CHOICES

Chad Brown (an experienced backup OLB)
#50 DB Poteat (over Warfield)
