I'm just saying that if we were 17-1 right now, instead of 18-0, I would be looking bitterly at that one loss, and this wouldn't feel the same. If we had lost that Ravens game, I would be asking so many "what if" questions, and feel sick to my stomach. I'm thankful that the Pats pursued perfection.

I would feel the same!
An SB appearance is a SB appearance!
Way too many of you are spoiled!
This is the conclusion I am coming to.

The excitement would be every bit as great. But I think I know what the OP is saying...that a single close loss during the season would have us all looking back a little bit with an "if only" feeling.
