Now that the Pats went 16-0 thereby confounding the Jets trolls, the ever present Colts trolls, the resurgent Bolts trolls, the Steelers trolls (OK, they WERE here prior to the embarrasing Jets loss fiasco) and of course the most obtuse of all, our formerly resident Phins troll Aqua/TW guru have you noticed how quiet this Pats news free Bye week has been?

They're temporarily out of anti-Pats material now that the Patriots have overcome the naysayers and achieved an unprecedented 16-0 regular season. We all know that the Trolls are all laying in wait for the Pats to stumble and lose a playoff game.

SSSSHHHHH
it's very very quite on top!

Me thinks it's one of three possibilities...

1) They got jobs

2) They got girlfriends/boyfriends dependng on who they play for, or maybe even a real life, living, breathing, human friend

3) Their computer broke/mummy took it off them for coming in after curfue/caught looking at porn

If I were looking to "troll it up" I'd stil be fishing so it's got to be one of those three.

Edit: How did a stupid looking smiley appear before the title of the thread on my post?

The Steelers losing to a sh!t Jets team cost them the #3 seed and the chance to play the Titans vs the Jags and also the chance to play the Colts in the second round instead of us; they match up better with the Colts than us, that loss is going to be their downfall.............

In truth, my faith in the 2007 Pittsburgh Steelers has faded a bit. We have too many issues and injuries right now. The Aaron Smith injury was devasting. That injury can be blamed for 80% of our woes in defending the run recently. It's no excuse though as our recent drafts have failed to find acceptable depth at DE and thus we are left high and dry now. Add to it injuries and poor play on the offensive line as well as various other injuries/issues in the secondary and WR group. We still have a shot but I have shifted from confident to hopeful.

Also, the 16-0 only counts if you win it all.

No Jim, I've been thinking about it. If the Pats don't win the SB and 12-15 years from now you ask someone who one Sb 42? they would have to think about it. But if you asked who went 16-0 they could tell you right away. Thats how monumental it is.

You may be right. Everyone just may remember who went 16-0. But if the Pats fail to win the SB, the memory will be of the team that went 16-0 and failed to win when it mattered most. Are you sure you want everyone to remember?

Don't fear the pressure. Embrace it.

To put it another way how many times has the SB been won 41, how many times has a team gone 16-0 in the regular season ONCE. Its a much more difficult achievement to 16-0 than it is to win the SB.

Embrace the achievement. :rocker:

The mods have been busy is my guess.

Bingo.

Ian gave us banning privileges a few weeks ago.

Trolls can post all they want here in the VLR, but there's no more "effing" around in the Patriots football forum. The ones who have been banned took their act to the Patriots forum by mistake or on purpose.

Believe me, they are out there.

Wow, what a brilliant thought, you mensa candidate you.

My guess is you are the only person who has thought of that one.......................

No one seems to remember the two Bears teams in the 30's and the 40's that went undefeated. The Pats have to win it all for it to be a true "undefeated season."
Because their either dead or were to young to remember.

I recieved a temporary (BS) ban for voicing my opinion on the Wilfork poke in the eye to some some genious who believed it was unintentional.

Ah, the irony!

That's not a bad idea actually. How are you holding up?
its tough .i just had her buried yesterday at angel view pet cemetery in middleboro .they did a great job with her .they wrapped her in her favorite afghan . i put her hockey ball and some pictures of her me and my girlfriend in the casket along with her favorite snack cheez its lol .she loved those .she didn't see well and couldn't hear very good anymore but she could always smell them when i opened a new box .i gave her the best send off i could . she made me smile and laugh everyday. its the least i could do for her. how is graham doing ? ok i hope .

You are always welcomed over at the steelers fever MB if you're so inclined. I go by the same name everywhere.

Why thank you. I never go to that one, I always lurk at SteelersLive, I don't think I'd be welcome there, they hate us.

Good luck this weekend. I'd really like to play the Jags just because we haven't yet, but I think the Steelers are going to win.

Because, they are all dead.

That was totally different era and means nothing today. Just like the old NFL-AFL Champions, different era's and separate records.

So Oh Wise One, tell us about those '72 Dolphins. Precisely what do YOU remember of that season decades ago?

Who was POTUS? As I remember we were just finishing up Apollo 17, the last lunar mission. Share your memories of this 'so well remembered' era with us, you pretentious doofus.

Just make sure the gerbil running on the treadmill to power up the internet in Indy doesn't kick the stick or you'll be screwed.

I'm shocked someone of your IQ level isn't spending his free time over at YouPorn instead of here; mommy caught you, didn't she?

And thanks for destroying the stereotype that everyone from French Lick is a hick BTW............
