Maybe Mangini is the one who should resign... and I'm only being partly facetious.
The only reason he is a head coach is because the Patriots were successful.
The reason - according to Mangini and so many others - that the Patriots were successful was because they were using video to steal calls where as other teams just stole calls (no one's yet explained what additional advantage that gives us).
Mangini has also admitted to team and apparently league officials that the same thing was being done on his watch in New England and he kept quiet about it - making him guilty as an accomplice at the very least.
So the "right" thing for Mangini to do is step down, acknowledging that his appointment as a head coach was based on fraud and "cheating".
At the very least, he better hope he doesn't run into Tony Soprano in another restaurant. They have a way of dealing with snitches.
