Re: Will Bob Kraft ever pay a big name free agent receiver
We're a fastfood nation and the general football analysis reflects that, I totally agree on the bad throws by Brady, they're on him but everyone focuses just on those at the expense of everything else.
I really don't like the deep balls to Slater, they don't work. I don't blame them as much for moving away from the run, it was not successful and I didn't see anything to indicate that continuing it would work, they dared us to pass and we don't have the goods, either on the O-line or in the receiving corp to meet that challenge.
I agree. Although Brady made two, count em--TWO, poor throws yesterday, he was otherwise sharp.
Randy Moss probably hauls in the overthrow to Edelman and takes it to the house, and the throw to Matt freakin Slater was right on target. Any legit wideout with some size goes up and makes that catch more often than not. I pin that one totally on McDaniels, unless Brady changed the play at the LOS.
Was it last year or the year before when we tried to pull the same BS with Slater?
The fact the we abandoned the run so early is borderline unconscionable IMO. I don't care if Blount got stonewalled three times to start, or if Knighton was playing like a man possessed. The fact that you've only won your last 5 games because of the rushing attack and yet you panic and abandon it in the first quarter shows that the OC just isn't cut out for prime time. Letting the other team make you change your gameplan after a couple of series is the definition of incompetence, especially when you have Ridley sitting on the bench.
Sorry, but now I just don't think Josh is the sharpest tool in the shed and/or freezes up in big games. It's a huge problem for this team and it makes me sick every time I see BB coaching up the D in big games while his offense is literally sputtering.
