And the Colts were supposed to lose to the Donkeys.

Mostly because their really good QB broke his ankle at the end of the season. The low ranking was based partly on uncertainty re: how good they would be going forward. Turned out that Cardale was fine and Zeke is so good it barely matters anyway.

OSU's 8th National Championship in 125 years. Well earned.

There were serious questions about clarett's character and his ability to make it in the NFL, and he still got drafted relatively early.

And even if he stays healthy he won't be a top 10 pick anyway. RBs aren't valued enough, his realistic ceiling is probably latter half of first round.

Oh, I know RBs aren't valued enough. Teams that are in the top 10 of the draft generally aren't the smartest. After all, Reggie Bush went #2. If Elliott busts out another 1,800 yard season then I wouldn't be surprised.

OSU IS a great story...3rd string QB...champions. I guess some people underestimated them a bit, eh?

I didn't follow this thread during the game but Mariotta is going to struggle in the NFL, when he has to go up against a an NFL Defense, the speed and formations he will struggle. He is a great player for college but I'm not sure about the NFL. Maybe I'll be wrong but I don't think so.

I was surprised that Ohio State was so underrated after what they did to Bama.

It only gets worse from here on out for Mariota

With the 6th overall pick the New York Jets select...

If I'm him I pull an Eli and demand a trade. No way I would let those ******s ruin my career before it ever started.

mariota = huge bust
love how they keep saying he's a good guy to distract from his deficiency's.
truth is now of his throws are impressive. i pray that the jests draft him!:D

Great team effort from the Buckeyes.

They went on quite a streak of knocking out top 10-12 teams over their past 6 games, starting with Michigan State, Wisconsin, Alabama, and finally...Oregon.

That's an impressive resume, to say the least--including the fact that their 3rd string QB beat both #1 Alabama AND #2 Oregon in back to back games. No other team can claim such a well rounded effort from both offense and defense.

Just think--they were 40-1 odds after losing their FIRST quarterback, Braxton Miller.

When they lost their second QB at the end of the season, JT Barrett, the odds dropped to somewhere around 100-1, all the way to 150-1 in some sportsbooks.

I bet we'd all have liked to have dropped a nice hundred or so!

OSU winning the national championship and with Harbaugh coming to Michigan, the Big10 is back!

Soft schedule and a roster that is extremely young. Meyer himself even said he thought they were a year off. But yeah, they shouldn't have been. I was originally in the camp that TCU and Baylor were more deserving until I saw what OSU did to Wisconsin on both sides of the ball. I hate Meyer now and I certainly don't like Ohio State, but they deserved to get in and they have a very bright future in front of them unless Alabama regains their footing. Further, the beautiful thing about the playoffs now is we should continue to see some pretty good clashes between Meyer and Saban coached squads that we otherwise might not have seen before.

So Jones is going back to school, I have to say that if it was me I would declare
