Haven't heard much about him but looks like an absolute stud. 10 sacks and 25 TFL in 23 games, 4.58 40, 6' 2" 245, but looks much bigger and has a huge wingspan. Anyone know the downside with this kid?

Vernon Gholston isn't doing him any favors either.
So why are the Jets still hanging onto Gholston?

Same reason we hang on to Maroney. The production doesn't warrant the pick placement at all and egos of the high paid scouts and F.O. that approved the pick are hoping for second and third year miracles rather than cut losses. Why is Russell still in the NFL at all? Al's ego.
We finally let Chad Jackson go so there is a lesson to be learned. It can be done.

Draftcountdown.com says that Gibson lacks good instincts and awareness, he has trouble shedding blockers, isnt stout at the POA, hes undersized, and that his athleticism doesnt translate to the field. They also said hes a poor mans Vernon Gholston! No way in hell we draft this kid.

MaineMan said:Chad Jackson is a more apt comparison. Fast, physically-gifted, probably a great guy. But he couldn't find a decent route to his own ass without a military-grade GPS. And they hung onto him (way too long)
