He's just a cheap shot artist. Zero respect for the player and person.Since it's Ward, I don't know if he was involved in a different PF, but the one I saw, Cutler scrambled for a first down and was then tackled by two Broncos. While Cutler was being brought to the ground, Ward decided to involve himself and "dropped an elbow" on Cutler after he hit the ground. Then he acted surprised when he was penalized.
I get that players, especially defensive players, are supposed to play aggressively, but that doesn't mean they should play cheap or dumb. What did Ward think was going to happen? Was Cutler going to break away from 2 defensive players and keep running? Was he magically going to keep himself from hitting the ground? Nothing wrong with Ward being around the play in case either of those 2 extremely unlikely events occurred, but absolutely no need to dive at offensive player while he's being tackled to the ground.
