Re: Sticky Please: "Smoking gun" photo discredited [Update: Jets camerman?]
Would it be possible to post the actual email? If we know who is knowingly ignoring this angle, we can voice displeasure in a more effective way and use as evidence on the intertubes.
I will give him a chance to see what he does with as he would have no idea I was writing here. I wouldn’t want to get him in trouble as he is the only person who responded. I wouldn't want him to get in troble for that. He is from Hearst though.
1st contact
I wrote on one of the contact us pages asking who he the guy in the photo was and sending the photo link
2 Email in response
Actually, that's not him (the guy in the picture is a Jets employee according to our photographer, who knows him). Matt, the "guilty" photographer, interned here a couple of years ago... and that is not him. _________________________________

Thanks,
So as a Jets employee filming he broke the same rule the Patriots did?
4 Email from him
And I totally missed the point of your e-mail!
Consider this... the shooters do have that kind of access (as do ours)... but if the Jets guy was doing bad things, he wouldn't be shooting his own team!
5 Email to him
If you watch the game film, He is shooting while the Patriots defense is out and not the game but the Patriots.

Also stealing signals is not against the rules, it was having the cameraman on the sideline. We won't know if he did steal signals since he didn't get stopped but by just being there he committed the same offense as the Patriots.
7 Email from him
Not necessarily. There are dozens of photographers on the sidelines during a game. Our guy could have shot the Jets coaches without anyone noticing. What is banned is team employees shooting coaches giving signals. It's rather specific.
Actually, when you add it all up, considering Mangini knew the shooter, it's starting to sound like a sting!

Ah, I though he was a Jets employee. That is specifically prohibited per the rules I believe as there are only the 3 designated places they can shoot from and not from the field. If he is a media member with access then that is a different story. If he is a Jets person then they broke the same rules the Patriots did.
Is he a Jets person?
Thank you,
No more emails
No response after that. He initially said he was a Jets employee. I don’t think he understood the ramifications of that.
