Not even PFT is willing to put this up in the rumor mill. WTF?? Maybe Bill Simmons would put something up. Then again, given how cozy ESPN is with the NFL, that may be wishful thinking.
How tough would it be to say, oh he is from channel 15 or the like. The fact that we have put in hundreeds or requests and not heard back except for the one guy wfrom channel 5 who said they knew him and he is a Jets employee without understanding the ramifications.
I just got a response on one of my emails that I sent out from someone in the "real" media. They are into this. Keep getting the word out there patsfans! We will be heard.
Everyone please email me all the pictures you have at [email protected]
I am compiling them all. Please add times if you have them such as at 4:25 in the 3rd etc…
I will share them all with anyone who wants them
Thanks Pain
If it helps I have the whole game recorded also, but from my PC in 720p HD. I can convert the file to a DVD or whatever format if needed but obviously it's going to be a large file. I can probably take some screen captures of particular parts if needed.
This is great news.
NFL's copyright on images of the game is overbroad and violates fair use. There was a story a few weeks ago that it was now being challenged preemptively in court. We can't break copyright, just fairuse photos. Hopefully of him shooting across the field while the Patriots D is in the game.
The CCIA's complaint fingers the NFL, Major League Baseball, NBC Universal, Morgan Creek, DreamWorks, Harcourt Inc., and Penguin Group (USA) for deceptive trade practices, accusing them of systematically mispresenting the rights of consumers to use copyrighted material. "These warnings that we have been seeing for decades are false," CCIA spokesperson Jake Ward told Ars Technica in a Monday interview. "They are a misrepresentation of the law and a violation of consumers' rights."
Can anyone get a screen grab of the guy operating the boom mike next to our mystery videographer? I think there's a chance he could be Ryan Mahanes, Jet Employee in the Video Department. If it is Mahanes there's an even better chance that the guy shooting the film is Tim Tubito, another Jet Employee in the Video Department.
Here's his myspace page. Be careful. He likes really bad music.

Hello all,
I created this
http://www.nflcoverup.com
keep up the pressure and keep posting here. This site is just meant as a single point where someone can see a quick request for identification since we have questions if the media is willing to take the time to go through the forum and digest this instead of just saying, oh they must be talking about the Patriots video guy.
Give me suggestions or new photos
In these photos he's seen working the Jets vs Vikings preseason game:

(notice in the fallowing photo he's filming across the field toward the Vikings sideline while the Vikings are on defense)

Here he is filming toward the Patriots sideline while the Patriots are on defense:

When the Patriots weren't on defense he filmed other things or didn't film at all:

A reporter in email correspondence has identified this Cameraman as a Jets employee:

http://patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showpost.php?p=521027&postcount=40
This cameraman is wearing the same "Jets" shirt Eric Mangini sometimes wears and is not wearing the league required vest. The league rule now is that you may not have a team employee filming from the sidelines especially across the field which this JETS cameraman was doing in both the NE game and the Vikings preseason game.
For those who still do not get this, the Jets are guilty of breaking the same rule the Patriots broke. Stealing defensive signs was not the illegal part, having the cameraman on the Sidelines filming especially across the field IS. These photos and the game broadcast of these games have visual proof of this cameraman breaking that rule.
Here is the memo sent out to all 32 teams by the league on September 6th, 2006:
"Videotaping of any type, including but not limited to taping of an opponent's offensive or defensive signals, is prohibited on the sidelines, in the coaches' booth, in the locker room, or at any other locations accessible to club staff members during the game."
As you can see by all the above photos this JETS EMPLOYEE is breaking the rules as described in that memo.
This has been sent to a bunch of members of the media via email. The problem we are having is it seems none of them want to go after this story, and seem almost like they just want this to end.....or is it that they just want the Patriots to be scrutinized?
