Nnamdi Asomugha is the best DB that is available (RFA). This is out of left field, but what if we offered Oakland a 3rd round pick this year for a player that is disgruntled because he got franchised (maybe a holdout?). Oakland is going to lose him eventually and all they will get back is a 3rd round compensatory selection in the draft the year after they lose him (3 years from now). They can get a 3rd round pick this year (a good year for DB's) and be in a better position in three years. They aren't going anywhere right now.
We are at our peak right now and I think we need a veteran at the LCB position. Lets do it before we slide down the other side of this mountain.
Not for two first round draft picks. If Moss isnt signed, I honestly would strongly consider giving up our 1st and 3rd rounder to the Raiders and pay big bucks for Nhamdi Asomugha.
Asomugha was an unrestricted free agent not a restricted free agent. Also, the Oakland Raiders placed the franchise tag on Asomugha in February.Nnamdi Asomugha is the best DB that is available (RFA).
