Maybe its just me, but I dont get the comments I am seeing on Rivers.
I realize his teammate sat on the sidelines all day, but it wasn't like his leg was failing off and had to be amputated after the game.
People are posting about how they have great respect for him, how gritty or ever heroic he was.
I think what he did was simply normal. You have an injury that you are capable of playing with, and you play.
Rivers playing with some pain and a limp does nothing to elevate my opinion, but him NOT playing in that condition would have lowered my opinion.
It seems the opposite has happened here, where Rivers playing through what I would expect any QB to play through, has extinguished all of the low opinions, and reason for them, about him and elevated him.
I just dont get why him playing yesterday is considered extraordinary.
