Belichick will take less value than the chart says if necessary - and we would only need two hot commodities. McFadden is almost certainly one. Who else will be a "rising star" to the top ? Too early to say but who are they usually ? Linemen, Pass Rushers, QBs. Out of Dorsey, C. Long, J. Long, Gholston and the group of QB there is a strong chance that 2-3 will emerge as big time guys giving us the trade down market.Even if it meant sitting on their hands and passing I can't see anyway the pick in the top 5 unless the are in love with McFadden.

Would it surprise anybody if Joe Flacco were to become the best NFL quarterback in the draft?
I could even see the Pats taking a TE or two in this draft.
I'm not sure about two, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if they selected one TE within the first 3-4 rounds.
CB Patrick Lee, 5-11, 200, 4.42, Auburn… Never played much prior to this season, but has emerged in recent weeks as yet another good cover corner in a class which appears to be deep in good cover corners meaning teams looking to upgrade at CB at this year’s draft need not force a pick in the opening round but may be able to wain until even the 3rd-4th round area to get a player the quality of a Lee.
Have not heard this about the later roundds.

I do not think so. I think BB coverts corners are quick twitch, disciplined in zone coverage, excellent ball skills and most importantly that can tackle.
In this defense BB does not play much man coverage.
I think BB will look at Jenkins and Williams of South Florida. Jenkins is probably the best combination of all of the above in this draft. And Lowery of San Jose State because he has the best ball skills in the draft.
There are probably another half dozen that fit the profile to some extent as well.
If we keep 4 day 1 picks, I would not be surprised to see BB take 2 DB, 1 TE or RB and 1 DL/LB hybrid.
McKelvin fits that bill, and he has return ability. As of today my draft would be
1. Gholston OLB
2. Carlson TE
3a. Beau Bell ILB
3b. Leodis McKelvin CB
I can see Gholston at 5. Especially, if his numbers are off of the charts at his workouts. But, no cb until 95? Not a knock on Carlson and Bell. But, I don't think we can wait for a cb. I think Asante will walk. I don't think we can wait that long to draft a cb. I can see 2 cb's in the first 3 rounds. I'm anxious to see Ohio St/LSU game. Might give us a good read on Gholston and M.Jenkins - CB.
