Before we start calling BB names, we should recall that we are not seeing what players do every day in practice. Belichick's decisions are obviously based on more than game stats or what we are able to see on game day. Having said that, BB was well aware of Ridley's ball security issue when he let Blount walk, so I think the plan is for Ridley to see a lot of carries this season. He has to uphold his end of the bargain too course.
Not sure what practice has to do with it. Whenever I wonder/disagree why so and so is starting, or why so and so is barely getting any snaps I see the practice philosophy, but it doesn't apply here IMO. Ridley gets regular carries when he is protecting the ball in real game action. Then everytime he fumbles he's immediately glued to the bench. I don't agree with that approach regardless of what's happening in practice. If he's doing something wrong in practice someone would probably be starting over him to begin with [which I'd be hard pressed to disagree on].
