Yes,my curious acolyte...questions...questions...questions...I know... and I, Pastor Buck, will gladly show YOU, the convert, why making the JKCoGL your personal pathway to paradise is the RIGHT choice, the WISE choice, the ONLY choice!

First..consider the mass itself...our aim is "salvation in a second!" and to that end the ceremony is short and sweet..."in the name of my lawyer, his son and the holy toast..my son YOU look GOOD!...AMEN....now go in pieces... (but remember to leave donations in small, unmarked bills , denominations no larger than 20 dollar bills in the basket)..

and there you have it...Salvation A-Go-go...fast , simple, no muss, no fuss and NO GUILT

Actually I see it differently. I may be one of the few who is indifferent to Tebow. I don't think he has the skills to be a starting QB in the NFL but could certainly be an H-back or some other role...
The problem is that Rex can't start him. If he plays poorly, it becomes "why did you even sign him in the first place". If by some chance he plays well, it becomes, "why didn't you start him earlier and bench Sanchez?" and reflects poorly on Rex...

Tebow tells Ryan he wants to be a starting QB not a Wildcat specialist.
Next day in practice Ryan pulls Tebow is off the Wildcat squad.
Seeing that he was removed from the Wildcat grouping Tebow meets with Ryan again to clarify his remarks to Ryan.

(IF TEBOW BEGGED OFF THE WILDCAT ONE DAY THEN WHY DID HE NEED TO MEET WITH RYAN THE VERY NEXT DAY TO CLARIFY REMARKS IF HE GOT HIS WISH (according to the unnamed source) AND WAS TAKEN OFF THE WILDCAT??? The leak doesn't add up and it's why I believe Tebow.)

Ryan then has someone leak to the media that Tebow has begged off Wildcat duty.
When asked about it by media Ryan refuses to clarify the situation.
Tebow is viciously attacked by Merrill Hoge and NY writer Schwarty and is called a phony and a quitter.
Ryan continues to let his player spin in the wind.
After the backup QB of the NY Jets heard and read the venom being spewed at him he spoke to the media and gave his side of the story.
Only then, after days of the media firestorm and vile personal attacks thrown at NY Jet player did the head coach of the NY Jets tell the world that Tim Tebow would have done anything he was asked to do by the very same Rex Ryan.

Rex Ryan has never looked so small. The word petty doesn't even begin to tell the story here.

Then there's the very real possibility that Ryan is doing Tebow a favor by not saying anything, letting Tebow put the spin on it he wants. This whole theory of yours does nothing to benefit Ryan, in fact it makes him look worse, like he has no control of the locker room. So then why, with the possibility of his job being on the line would he involve himself in this little sideshow? Who benefits from Ryan's silence? Not Ryan.

I'm sold, sign me up! Wait, what - how much does this cost? Will I being fully redeemed so I can fully pursue my higher calling of arguing on messageboards? This all sounds to good to be true.. but what the hell you really sound like you have all the answers - I'm going to give it a try - I'm not even going to question your motives - you're telling me exactly what I want to hear - that I'm good looking and can have easy redemption.... How much is this going to cost me again?

why, it's no money down and life to pay,Bunky!!!

and,as an added benefit, you and your family are automatically enrolled in Joe Kerr's School Of Good Looks for a one time charge of $999.99 in easy to pay quarterly payments.

Just think...YOU, in seven or eight short years...a REAL college graduate ready to meet life's challenges...AND looking good doing it!!!

so don't hesitate..enroll today!!...tomorrow never looked better..

Don't know how you can conclude that Ryan did Tebow a favor when this whole thing has been orchestrated by Rex Ryan.
Rex Ryan knows what Tim Tebow said to him. Why would he not clarify that and shoot down these media rumors?? Why would the head coach of the NY Jets let his own player spin in the wind and be attacked for days....and then days later state that he (Rex) has no doubt Tim Tebow would do anything asked of him by Jet coaches.....
Could it be that they're in dire need of a scapegoat down there for the horrible year they've had. That Rexy was pissed off at Tebow for Tebow wanting a meeting to ***** about playing time??
Let's face it, by and large it's been Tim Tebow who's taken a beating in the media and with many fans over a leak from an unnamed "source" and by all appearances that's been just fine with his head coach.
The rat in the room here is Rex Ryan.

No, that is not correct. We have Tebow's account.....that is all we have. An "unnamed source" is not a side to a story. It's hearsay. Hey, I read in another blog that ArmChair QB is part of a terrorist group. So now you go ahead and deny it. Is there now two sides to the story? No, there is your statement on the record and there is hearsay.....something completely unsubstantiated, something without any tangential basis, something without any way to contradict the veracity or motivations of the source, something that anyone can make up for entertainment purposes (a la the Internet). It is the WORST form of "side to a story" there is.
You don't like Tebow? Fine. It's the basis of sports fan-dom to have likes and dislikes. But, again, when you take an 'unnamed source' and use it in a substantive way, you are doing so because you have an axe to grind. It can't possibly be because you are just weighing the sides to the story-"unnamed sources" don't allow for that.

In your hypothetical, if I was a member of that group but said that I wasn't, would that make it true?

And once again, it's not personal with Tebow. It's just I don't get this fascination, fanatical obsession and never ending coverage of what amounts to be a fringe NFL player, a 53rd man on a roster, a man without a position, a QB with a 47.9 completion percentage.

Graduating in only 7 or 8 years? Can you guarantee that? Will I still look good then? Is that $999.99 for just me or for everybody because I have a big family...... and I don't fully understand... how much are the quarterly payments and for how long? Oops sorry, I said I wasn't going to ask any more questions. Sign me up... family too. Send the bill.... but I want full redemption, a promise of good looks and a guarantee of a degree by 2020.

You may be right that he can still offer some team his services by playing another position. The problem now becomes the fact that wherever he goes is a traveling circus sideshow.

Going to the Jets may have actually been the absolute worst thing that his career could possibly endure, besides a career ending injury of course.

What looked like a promising career has quickly become a freakshow where he now needs to prove himself all over again, and this time not "just" at QB, but for any other position too.

I actually wonder if this may end up crushing his NFL career for good?

Regarding the fascination? I understand your point to an extent, however, isn't that an indictment on sports to question why fans have fanaticism? Certain players, for whatever reason, get face time on the media or have circumstances that get fans attention.....then they get a following. There is no logic to it, it's an emotionally based thing. Why condemn/frown upon it? Hell if it wasn't for the fanaticism, we should all be off furthering our acuity on philosophy, science, our chosen professions in lieu of the time we take to follow the Patriots.

As far as your "if I was a member of that group but said that I wasn't, would that make it true" comment. That is a seriously bad statement. An unsubstantiated rumor now falls upon the subject of the rumor to not only deny it but prove the negative. It isn't for others to prove X, it is on you to prove it is not X. Wow. You just empowered every half wit with a keyboard and internet connection (not directed at you), every tabloid magazine, every dolt at F-ESPN....anything they can make up now falls upon the subject of the lie/unsubstantiated claim to prove it is not true. That's a truly awful way for the world to work....

I kind of get the fascination, I understand it and am intrigued and you should really take a step back and figure it out, because you have certainly showed you are beyond fascinated with him. But just out of curiosity, do you also believe this statement from the Jets on why they are starting Mark Sanchez sunday?

According to Ryan, McElroy was lifting weights this morning when he began experiencing headaches. While being checked out by the team's medical staff, McElroy disclosed that he had experienced concussion symptoms after the loss to the Chargers, but that he had not told anyone about them.
