PFF had Fletcher and McClain ranked as two of its absolute worst cornerbacks on the market. The grades deserve a huge grain of salt, but Brown and Newman both graded better overall than Browner over the season. Of course, even if you find them somewhat useful as guidance on how decent a player is, these grades are still both vague in meaning and disguise nuance - Browner was a situational corner who was up and down since he was either a shutdown corner or constantly burned depending on the opponent in question.
