And what about Thomas...3rd year player??? Can he move BACK to the PSqd once elevated?? Mays as well OR has he played in the max games for him???
Just curious as it's possible BOTH could be cut re-signed to the squad....

The PS rules give me a headache. I may be dead wrong but I think Thomas is in his last year of elligibility. Both he and Mays could be waived, if they cleared waivers they could be assigned to the PS.

Practice Squad Eligibility - A team may establish a practice squad of no more than eight players who do not have an accrued season of free agency credit** or who were on the 45-player active list for less than nine regular season games during their only accrued season. A player cannot participate on the practice squad for more than two* seasons.

*This is now for 3 seasons
** What the heck is an accrued season of free agency?

Patriots Practice Squad as of 9/12/07
C Dan Connolly
OL - Oldenburg
WR - Bam
WR - Jones
FB - Eckel
TE -Rader
CB - Williams

One more spot open, looking at the list they may want to add a LB or DL.

Possible Names
LB - Herron, Ryan LaCasse
DL - Orien Harris, Baba Oshinowo
S - Josh Gattis

Aside- I still can't believe they let Rogers leave and essentially gave his spot to Chad Brown. Good grief, someone was asleep at the wheel.

Ok Radar is gone, so is Mays, Oldenburg... Eckel is up in the bigs, this means one more open spot.

I think Eckel will be cut and then re-signed to the PS for Harrison's spot but it depends on Maroney. If Eckel sticks they may want to add a TE or another offensive lineman.

Current list - http://www.patscap.com/patriotsroster.html

Practice Squad
WR Brandon "Bam" Childress (13) - 5-10, 185, 25 years
C Dan Connolly (63) - 6-4, 318, 25 years
QB David Greene (8) - 6-3, 225, 25 years
WR C.J. Jones (19) - 5-11, 195, 26 years
CB Antwain Spann (31) - 6-0, 195, 24 years
S Raymond Ventrone (41) - 5-10, 200, 24 years
DT Zach West (69) - 6-5, 305, 23 years

I liked both LaCasse and Harris coming out of the draft. They seem naturally suited to play in our 3-4, plus LaCasse can be a good STer.

I think Gattis is on the Bears 53.

Yes, we need a TE on the Practice Squad.
