yours?

please.

if BB's pissed at eric, it's his decision, and he doesn't need yours or the media's agreement.
my god.

Gees how can you type so well while you're blowing BB. I'm impressed.

Why does the world care so much about this? I mean, really, WHO CARES.

And here I thought women were supposed to be stereotyped as only caring about interpersonal relationships. Clearly not the case.

These reporters need to change out of their Victoria's Secret thongs and start reporting some football.

C'mon now, where's the caring, the love.:D

There was a lot made of the BB/Tuna split, too. I don't have a problem with it being reported, nor do I care that much about it. Hey, they could always go back to talking about TO and the Mannings -:)

but between this and Tom Brady nursing a broken heart over his lost WR, I'm starting to feel like I wandered onto the set of The OC, or something.

Hey don't knock it. Both threads beat the "Porn Queen finds Tommy boy a Cutie" thread.

Like it or not Patriot fans, Belichick was an ******* to Mangini for not saying anything at all....he couldn't have a sec. or anyone send a card, e-mail, phone call, anything? Couldn't have maybe given him a hug or talked to him for 15 seconds at midfield and said, "Hey, I miss you, best of luck"? Comeon now. Little Bill needs to become a bigger man.
Why does everything have to play out on the tube to satisfy our greedy eyes? We don't know the whole story which is a personal and private matter. Just because we don't see BB's e-mail or hear his phone call of congrats to EM does not mean it did not happen. Leave it alone. This is not reality tv and BB is not acting on cue for the cameras.

Jesus SamBam, relax. I didn't say he an acted like an ass unnecessarily. I said, that if he did, I wanted to know. If he did, that would lower my opinion of him.

eta: Now I'm almost 7 months pregnant, which means I'm SUPPOSED to be a hormonal mess, and even I can see this whole BB/Mangini drama is just that....drama. It's not that I don't like my men somewhat sensitive to "feelings" and **** like that, but between this and Tom Brady nursing a broken heart over his lost WR, I'm starting to feel like I wandered onto the set of The OC, or something.

Nicely put, Bella*chick! I think the media is starved to 'soup-up' the Patriots, and this is their chance. There is so much drama to cover now, they just can't get enough. Come on, it could be worse...it's not like Coach tried to take a gun on an airplane like the ol' Cowboys' coach!

Sorry to bump this up but I thought this was worth posting.

Bill Belichick was roundly criticized for his frosty approach toward Eric Mangini, which many media types perceived as a petty response to Mangini's decision to leave New England. But there may be more to it than what has been reported.
Some people in the know insist the rift wasn't created by the actual break-up, that the relationship started to fray after Mangini left.
That opens several possibilities; maybe Belichick is sore because Mangini tried to poach some of his assistant coaches. The belief here is Belichick's beef with Mangini stems from the Deion Branch situation. The Patriots believe the Jets tampered with Branch - New England filed a grievance with the league - and that certainly could explain Belichick's cold shoulder.
It's interesting to note that, on the day Mangini took the Jets' job, Belichick released a statement that called Mangini "an outstanding coach and an even finer individual...(This opportunity) is truly an example of good things happening to a good, hard-working person."
Does that sound like a betrayed coach?
PS this is not the whole column, just the relavant bit.

Appreciate the post.
As more details begin to emerge, the more I'm reminded of the Lawyer Milloy fiasco - the major differences being that the Pats were able to get high value, albeit a future high value, in return for Branch, and the sidebar, BB/Mangini storyline. But because the tampering accusations against Buffalo showed how difficult such charges are to prove, I really don't expect anything to come out of these charges against the Jets. It would be interesting though to read the actual complaint.

Well, I have to make it clear that I would expect some interest in the issue, but the level of interest is, IMO, a bit out of control. As if these people should have expected a complete answer anyway! BB doesn't owe any reporter any inside scoop on anything, and that's the end of it. He clearly doesn't wish to discuss it, I haven't seen Mangini doing so either, so why can't they just drop it?

Once again, it is hard to top this post. You even managed to cover the little Brady drama as well. Two for one!

I hope guys around here get a grip. Belichick does that same blow off routine to many coaches. Like anyone that shows signs of disrespect during the week before the match-up. This is the real reason his players play hard for him, because Belichick feeds into the 'anger' emotions just like the locker room leaders. It's his way of saying that he came to kick your ass. Especially with his young apprentice who is currently on a team that was in cahoots with Chayut.

If you don't like Belichick than put your thong on, go find another team to root for, and don't waste our time with your trivial crybaby chicken little complaints about Belichick not being soft enough for you. Seriously.
