If they don't pay Talib who would they pay? Arrington got his money and now Talib should get his. The dude has the attitude AND PLAYMAKING ability which has been lacking on this team for A LOOOOONG TIME.

Pay that man! His price tag is only going up. Comparing him to other players about how he may react after you pay him is ridiculous.

They would likely look to extend Solder, McCourty, maybe one of the three RBs (Vereen, Ridley, Bolden), Gostkowski, Connolly.

Again...yes...pay the man!

Special delivery for Aqib Talib!

They'll probably try to low-ball him something insulting and he'll sign somewhere else.

And then Belichick will draft a random CB in the 2nd round who was projected to be a 7th rounder.

Pay Talib? Lol!

Please, the Patriots don't do that. They'll just let him go and look for some guy that seems to be a good fit for their "system."

And then when the secondary is getting torched again, they'll look for some cheap bandaid fix like always.

Is this actually a question and poll here? Of course u pay him....HOWEVER, The Pats will never do this and will lose him after this season

When Bill wants to keep someone he gets it done. And he wants to keep Talib.

Guy just went against Vincent Jackson, Julio Jones and AJ Green in 3 consecutive weeks and shut them all down and had 3 INTS* going against them.

*Yes I know it was only 2 INTS but still he was in position and made the play, it just happened to be where his momentum just took him out of bounds had that play happened just 6 inches back its an INT.

I tend to think that you're right in stating this, and that there are times where he'll go outside of his comfort zone/value system under the proper circumstance. It doesn't happen often, but it can be done.

Aqib Talib may prove to be one of those exceptions, but whether or not one/both parties will want to wait until free agency starts to better gauge the market may be key since it will be a gamble of sorts for the Patriots. That is clearly my biggest concern.
