I recommend not reading Felger. You won't learn anything and you'll get annoyed.

    Agreed.

The trick on this board is figuring out which threads have been started by aspiring Felgers and avoiding them before the blood pressure starts to rise.

I thought Steve Burton was going to kill that smug pr!ck at the start of Patriot's Fifth Quarter last night and there's not a court in the state that would convict him for it if he had.

Guys, Relax...they were going for the records before the home crowd. Once the playoffs start, TB will be going back to the best option of his favorite receiver is the most open receiver. No matter what they say about not caring about breaking records because they do care about it.

    Disable Jersey

Yes, if it was a jury trial, a hung jury or jury nullification would be an issue because no way 12 citizens would vote to convict.
Pats achieve all kinds of historic goals and the little dweeb tries to make HIMSELF the story. No wonder DeOssie & Smerlas hate the fool.

The comments from "Fans" regarding the article are interesting.

One clown says that Brady was having a great year but now it's and average year. Lot's of the sky is falling and we will lose to the Colt's.

Mike Felger sounds like a lot of the dip**** posters on this forum. I don't understand how this clown can ***** about the Pats not playing well for "over thirty minutes." The first half of football was excellent (the score was 28-0, how is that a bad thing?). The second half left a lot to be desired (by the offense).

They scored 28 points and allowed 7. How is that a bad thing?

Brady had a poor game (in the second half) and turned the ball over three times. Who else played poorly, Felger? Douchebag.

Felger, that's all that needs to be said.
He was like that during the fifth quarter last night

Can we add the doom and gloom posters from here to it?

What amazes me is the sheer number of posters who complain about a 15-0 team.

I think the "security blanket" issue is in full effect. It was obvious in the Colts game when Watson was wide open in the zone and he forced it into Randy for the TD. You could see this developing over the season. It's now a habit, as all repeated things eventually become habit if they have an emotional basis for being. Obviously there is an emotional reason for liking to throw to Randy Moss and put up big numbers.

We don't really know who the primary reciever is on these plays either. If it's Randy and he's even barely open, there has to be a lot of pressure on Tom to get it to him rather than to check down. It's a case of a bird in the hand as opposed to the one in the bush. Even a little of Randy can be better than a lot of somebody else. It's a tough choice. The choice is made at warp speed with pressure coming.

The bottom line is that if the two of them are having good days it doesn't matter what the other guys do. I think the problem is that one or the other can be having a less than perferct day, and this habit will bite them in the ass. Otherwise it will be lights out and lots of points.

I could not disagree more. Reiss so much came and said it in today's globe that they were screwing around in the second half, not running anything close to what they would normally run. Its the end of the season and its time to start messing with the prescouting reports for the teams that are watching.

Watched 60 minutes last night. Brady is far too smart to have a simplistic synapse that says "duh...throw to moss all the time"

I am sure that such a thread is possible - but it sure would be boring. How about the next time they open their stupid mouths trying to get reactions and ratings we shut them up the following FACTS - not OPINIONS.

2007 Patriot and NFL records Beaten or about to be.

Consecutive reg. season wins, single season 14 (Miami Dolphins, 1972) '07 Patriots: 15
Team touchdowns, single season 70 (Miami Dolphins, 1984) '07 Patriots: 71
    Patriots single-season receptions record 101 (Troy Brown, 2001) Wes Welker: 101, 2007
Touchdown passes, single season 49 (Peyton Manning, IND, 2004) Brady: 48 (needs 1 TD)
Patriots single-season passing yards 4,555 (Drew Bledsoe, 1994) Brady: 4,450 (needs 105 yards)
Team point total, single season 556 (Minnesota Vikings, 1998) '07 Patriots: 550 (need 6 points)
Touchdown receptions, single season 22 (Jerry Rice, SF, 1987) Randy Moss: 21 (needs 1 TD)

The morons don't like facts, it gets in the way of their reasoning.:bricks:

That's the thing... it has its own forum. It's called IndyStar LOL...

I mean, I'm all for informed, reasoned analysis, even including <gasp> criticism of the team management and coaches. Hey, we're fans, we're entitled...

HOWEVER, we're Pats fans, and that puts us in a difficult position.

Historically, half the fun of being a fan anywhere is second-guessing the coaching and management. But when you do that as a NE Pats fan, typically you just get burned. Badly.

So, the "center" of the discussion among long-time fans is "In Bill We Trust."

It makes it that much harder to defend a fault-finding mission when your team is 15-0 and on the cusp of setting history via several different routes.

All I have to say to the detractors is, dudes, don't work so hard. No horrendous comeuppance is going to prove you right about some pet theory. No greek tragedy will unfold if we have the hubris to set these records. No "monkey's paw" ending need await us for achieving the perfect season.

If the receivers excel, it doesn't mean the running backs suck. If the free agency moves work great, it doesn't mean the drafts have sucked. If we get bargains in one year, it doesn't mean we've "mismanaged" following years.

Yah, the Pats are "in groove" if you consider 15-0 a groove. Call my crazy but uh that looks like the definition of a groove to me. Hell I live in the DC market. The Redskins are "super bowl bound" any time they win 2 games in a row around here.

    What's WRONG with you people?

    Okay, done ranting,

No ...no no no...keep ranting...we need the balance
