good, good let the hate flow within them. seriously though this is a 6th round pick why do Panthers fans care? Tyler Gaffney might contribute next season but really I think he is just insurance at the RB position next season
Look at it this way = He was a workhorse bell-cow RB who received 330 touches last season, in a competitive enough Pac-12 conference. Those 330 touches (3rd most last year in all of the NCAA) equated to over 1700 yards rushing, and a whopping 21 TDs on the ground for the 2013 season.
He also has nice size at 6'1" and 220+ lbs, and ran a 4.49 in the 40 yard dash.
He's also a 4 year player and graduate from Stanford, meaning that he's obviously mature, smart, and likely fits the mold that the Pats look for in a player.
Now...there are obviously reasons why he lasted until the 6th round just as well, but this is a fine move that should add healthy competition for next season. In the process, Belichick also screwed over GM Dave Gettleman again, who was the GM with the NYG when we grabbed Jake Ballard off waivers. The Panthers not only lost out on their 6th round pick, but they lost about 100k in the process, since we only are responsible for the base salary, IIRC.
