I don't understand why T.O believes teams would ever think he would be a troublemaker?

Re: OT - T.O. worried teams think he's a "troublemaker"

The fact that he is just figuring this out now presents an even bigger problem from him.

I thought it was because of ESPN! At least that's the excuse he was whining about last week anyway...

But only if he wired his mouth shut and agreed to play tight end. Which is because he's no longer fast enough for WR. Which would mean he'd have to learn how to block ... Oh, never mind. :bricks:

Re: OT - T.O. worried teams think he's a "troublemaker"

I hope you're kidding. If not, it's clear you aren't very informed when it comes to Owens' current skill set....

Of course he's still fast enough to be a WR

And no, I do not like Owens, in fact, I despise him. But to say he isn't fast enough to be a WR is just completely ignorant, no offense.

Who wants a wide receiver who drops 18% (9/50) balls thrown to him ?

Tell ya what TO- sign here for a one year $1.5 million contract and play your role on the team without any distractions. This means getting only 2 or 3 passes your way during some games. You might not even be active other games, and some games you might be the featured WR. When you do that successfully, teams will then know you're not a head case and will show interest in you next season... and you'll have a shiny new ring to wear!

...and to this TO says    :(

Sign him up!! Welker may be on the PUP to start the season. He still is a large target that defenses must account for. I would hope the veterans on the team can keep him in line.

i agree Denver...one year deal is the key. If he truely want to remold his image, then he will play well. no doubt just having him on the field would level out the pass D

He needs to realize that he isn't as young anymore, and will likely get signed by a team who loses a WR in training camp or pre-season games.

    No Jersey Selected

I would have taken him earlier in the offseason. But now I can't but help to sit back and laugh at him. You reap what you sow.

He seems to be in denial about his "issues."

    He makes one interesting point:

"Some of the golden boys that they kind of highlight throughout the course of the season, those are the guys that are getting in trouble...Somehow I get lumped into those topics, which blows my mind. I've never been in any trouble. I know right from wrong. I try to make the right choices and judgments when I'm out in the public."

He's pretty clearly referring to Roethlisberger and arguing that his off field behavior (if you don't count situps in his driveway) is clean and why do people lump him with guys like Pacman and Vick and Ben.

He doesn't seem to get how dysfunctional and damaging his locker room behavior is. But he is right in the sense that throwing a QB under the bus is different than raping a woman.
