He was probably Minn's best O-lineman, though he was coming off an Achilles Tendon tear. Just told mgmt he's retiring. Good thing they got Alex Boone and Andre Smith..

2nd OT in a week to retire. Following Eugene Monroe..

A whole lot of NFL players age 30 or younger have retired in the last year or so.

  • Phil Loadholt (achilles)
  • Eugene Moore (long term health concerns)
  • Jerod Mayo (injuries, wear and tear)
  • Patrick Willis (injuries, long term health concerns)
  • Calvin Johnson (wear and tear, long-term health concerns)
  • Percy Harvin (hip and knee injuries, chronic pain issues)
  • Marshawn Lynch
  • Walter Thurmond (long term health concerns)
  • Jonathan Martin (injuries, long term health concerns)
  • Jason Worilds
  • Chris Borland (head injuries)
  • Jake Locker (long term health concerns)
  • Anthony Davis (wear and tear)
  • John Carlson (head injuries, concussions)
  • A. J. Tarpley (concussions, long term health concerns)
  • Husain Abdullah (long term health concerns)
  • Maurice Jones-Drew (injuries, wear and tear)

Finally they are catching on. The money they make towards the end of their careers is **** compared to risks and other opportunities they have. Why take more years off you're life for a million or 2? When you can make half that or more talking about the game, selling products and other ventures etc.

If it's even around , this sport will look a hell of a lot different in 20-30 years. I wouldn't piss on an owner to save their life nevermore get my head beat in for them.

Always thought his last name was perfect for a tackle. Smart guy. Get out while the getting is good. OL and DL are two of the most traumatic positions to play when it comes to head injuries. Hopefully he got an education that he can actually use, post-football, while je was in college.
