If they're bothered by his antics, they need to get a life. Gronk has often done more than his spike. Cases in point are his pelvic dance and his Buckingham Palace Guard dance in the London game. It's all harmless. Who cares? It's like those who get offended when the Pats allegedly run up the score. Don't like it? Then, stop 'em. Non-issue, at least to me.
F u and Cam. Let's all join in on the african-american pity party. Nobody has a problem with anyone being black. But they sure have a problem with you being an ass hole. Double standards much?
Maybe this is why Cam is touting himself...

Since you love him so much. Tanguay: Newton same as Brady with ‘look at me’ moments
And THIS perfectly encapsulates why he is annoying.Maybe this is why Cam is touting himself...

Reminds me of when LeBron James danced to the PA music during team timeouts. (Does he still do that?)And THIS perfectly encapsulates why he is annoying.
Go to a game where he plays, it is clear he sees himself as a performer as much as a football player. He might as well do jazz hands between every play, or between tearing down the signs of fans, or between complaining about the refs, or making sure the TV light is on before he hands the ball to the kid in the stands. He's annoying. And talented.
Swag is fine. It's the "I can do anything I want, and if you don't like it, tuff 5h!t" attitude. Such as being on the field running around waving that stupud towel when one of his defense make an int. Or wearing a hat and towel on his head during the Nation Anthem to name a few. I don't hate the guy. But I don't like the way he acts. Nobody cared when he was getting criticized when he wasn't winning. Now it's a big deal. If he wants to act like that, he's gotta deal with the criticics. It's just too much. If he doesn't like it, stop em'. . But just stop with the race crap. He looks like the racist here.
I can see why he rubs people the wrong way but to me all that stuff he does is what makes him exciting. I love the showmanship, the NFL is an entertainment industry and right now he's the NFL's best showman. I don't want to say it's a race situation but I do believe it's a demographic situation. Just for comparisons sake you can look at what Steph Curry is doing for the Warriors in the NBA and say shows just as much swag and conducts himself the same way Newton does but he is absolutely beloved by the NBA community. (On another note the parallels between Curry/Warriors and Newton/Panthers is something to look at). There are vines of Curry dancing on the bench, pretending to smoke a J on the bench, dancing after hitting a bit shot, talking trash to an opposing bench while his shot is still in the air etc but everyone loves that where for Newton people think that's not "classy". IMO that speaks to the demographics of people who watch each sport. The NBA fanbase is younger, more diverse but more importantly it's more accepting of that kind of behavior is more acceptable, Whereas the NFL fanbase tends to trend older and despises that kind of behavior (No Fun League).

And the current leading presidential candidate for 2016 has forged a campaign largely using the race card, so, while the issue has improved, it's still all around us to some degree.Sure there will always be some but at what percentage can we put it to bed as an issue? There's a black president on his second term and yet he too has used the race card. People are just people to me and I believe I'm in the vast majority. Doug Williams won a SB nearly 30 years ago.
Perception? LOL. No perception. You MADE it about race. And I could care less for your plight. Plight that's rich. Or your "Black tears".lmao definitely helping the perception this "isn't about race" here pal
Please. Just stop. Do you really think racism is white people against black people??? Right there is your problem. You've got issues. I'd say more, but I wouldn't want to cause any "Black tears"imo it's cool how white people have decided that there's a certain level of inequality that black people should just accept because it's bothersome to hear about it
