Here is how this could work out great for us (Boston fans)
The NFL will not let anyone who owns another sports team in a different market purchase a NFL team. Here is the solution:
Jacobs sells the Bruins to Bob Kraft (which has always been my dream). Actually it would make much more sense for John Henry to buy them (because then he will own all of NESN). I'm not a big fan of Henry's politics, but I have to give him credit, he is a great baseball owner, spends the money and the Sox are always "doing the right thing" in the community. Needless to say, either one of them would be a tremendous uprgrade over Jacobs.
Jacobs can then take the money and buy the Bills. You know he will run them on the cheap, and thus guarantee the Pats 2 victories a year. Plus he will keep them in Buffalo.
Plus, if Kraft buys the team, he would more than likley move the Bruins practice facilites to Patriot Place, build a nice rink there for Foxboro, and hopefully let the B's play outdoors in Foxboro! That would be great!
Chara and the Gronk what a great TE/ Blueline combo!
