WOW we lost a game we have to change our QB. This is football you win some lose some! with the d playing like that i doubt rady could have won that game!
this is Cassels stats through 3 regular season games plus 4 preseason games. (*note: the three regular season games were against the mighty Kansas City Cheifs, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins.)
67 comp / 106 att, 63.2%, 613 yards, 2 TD, 4 INT, 69.4 QB rating
yes i am counting the INT called back because of a bogus roughing the passer penalty, and the INT that went right through the Miami defenders hands, a gift from god.

Do you think its going to get better?? This is against the worst teams in the league!! Its unacceptable production. Slide down and make room on the bench.
But, you didn't count the bogus "in the grasp" call whihc woudl have given Cassel a rushing TD and eliminated a pick......slant the numbers so more there Briz so you can make your idiotic case??
I suppose in 2001 you also would have bebched Brady after his Miami game in favor of Huard??
that was a borderline call too but there was no telling if he would have scored or not, once the whistles blew the whole D stopped while Cassel was the only one running around.
Brady and Cassel are nothing alike. No i wouldnt have benched Brady.

I am not saying Cassel will approach anything near TB.
In 2001 though, with your logic, your conclusions should lead you to the same place with the unknown, untested Brady as you reached with Cassel
For right now, let him learn and let;s see how good he can be. If they go 4-3 over the next seven games they'll be 6-4 with 6 to go and we'll be in position to make a run......that is reasonable and where I think we'll be, with Cassel. You need to give him a chance though as he is the best option we have. If you still trust in BB's judgement that is.
i dont agree, make the change now, get Oconnel in there as soon as possible.
Chad Jackson would of made Cassel look good today Briz.
i dont agree, make the change now, get Oconnel in there as soon as possible. There is no need to delay the inevitable. Oconnel could use as much experience as he can get before the playoffs roll around, the longer you keep Cassel in the less time you have to right the ship and establish some consistency.
Brady and Cassel situation is not the same, Brady had 1 year on the Pats when he took over when Bledsoe went down he was basically a rookie and we still didnt know what we had in him. Cassel has been here for 4 YEARS, ive seen all the preseason games hes played in, and the few regular season games, i know he is a SCRUB already.
Hey, BRiZ--do you happen to know what's the most likely way to completely #%@#% up the development of a rookie QB?
who cares! Brady is gunna be back next year, its just a one year patch, Oconnel if hes gunna be the backup could use the experience to backup Brady next year. We are gunna lose with Cassel anyways.
