Yeah Red traded him very shortly after winning the '84 Finals, and people thought it was weird.Thank you for the correction; I had forgotten that he was traded just a few months later, and not one year later.

Walter Brown's passing ushered in an era of tremendously difficult ownership travails and headaches for Red. It's really tough owning the C's because they must pay through the nose to the Garden.The moves that brought us Bird, Parish and McHale are right up there also.
