7-Leodis McKelvin, CB
62- Cliff Avril, OLB
I'm cool with Avril, but there's no way in hell we're taking McKelvin at 7, IMO.
I'd be very happy with that. Of note, 10 corners selected in the first two rounds. 6 in the first.
If the why is directed at my McKelvin comments its b/c most scouting reports I've seen have questioned his play in zone coverage, so I don't see him as a good fit for the Pats.
Oh thanks, I though you were asking why I liked it.
If Ryan is available at 7 I'd expect the Patriots phone to be busy. The question is who would be calling and what would they be offering
Am i crazy to think we don't take a Corner at 7. I honestly don't think we will. I was a big fan of DRC, but I can't justify taking him at #7. I would love to move down with bth Cowboys picks. If Gholston is gone, I think I may take McFadden just based on his talent, will be far and away better then everyone else's left on the board. I mean honestly he is the most talented guy in the draft. I'd rather have a Gholston or quite possibly a Long if a miracle happened, but those two were gone, I'd have a hard time passing on McFadden and taking a McKelvin or DRC.
