A few sites have said that NO will not hesitate to grab Reggie Bush, but Deuce McAllister in under a newer contract for nice cash. That team needs such a rehab that it may be wise to dump McAllister today for a solid pick or two. Deuce has mad skills, has had some injuries, but well worth a #2 or #3. He would be a huge addition and we could afford it as of right now.

I'd take him just to have someone named Deuce on our team LOL

they can get some very good value for McAllister..if he does well on physical and knee seems fine..hes a top tier back.

The way they will go is keep both this year and then maybe think about trading Deuce in a year.

If he proves he is healthy his value would be high - a 2nd rounder maybe. Right now Deuce probably gets you a 4 or 5 tops with his contract and his health.

yeah but they have a lot of needs and Bush comes for only the greenest money in the draft. McAllister has $15 million in gurantee left on his contract..and Brees got like $10 million in gurantee..they cant afford to keep both really

Deuce is probably not making very much actual $ this year. Trading him would put all his signing bonus on the cap and there is no way they want to do that in year 2 of his deal.

That is what i was thinking. If we offered the #52 and a 5-6th rounder they would hard pressed to decline. They have so many holes that need to be filled and three big contracts on the books would be difficult to manage.

The thing is it looks like they are going to have 3 big contracts on the books this year whether they keep Deuce or trade him. I read that Deuce's deal included a 12.5 million signing bonus. If that is correct and they trade him now, they get an immediate 10 million cap hit from the 4 remaining years of signing bonus proration.
