so, i purchased action replay max so i could get the names of the college players
i then rented ncaa 07
and simmed four seasons
(winning one national championship as umich)
i also want to point out i had three first round picks
(one from deion branch)
and three second round picks
i lost in the sb to washington btw
i was down 24-6 at the half
came back to make it 29-24
and lost 39-29
they had three defensive tds
i play on all madden setting btw
another side note:
you cannot draft de's in madden and switch them to olb
they dont convert well at all
so, without further ado, here is my draft:
1st rd-3rd overall: Calvin Johnson WR georgia tech, he was an 88 overall after the draft 89 now after running a drill with him
1st-15th: Earl Everett OLB florida
1st-17th: Leon Hall CB UMich (i wanted landry or zibikowski at 15th and everett at 17th but they were both gone, so i went with this combo instead)
2nd-8th: Aaron Rouse SS virgina tech
2nd-10th: Dwayne Bowe WR lsu
2nd-11th: Brian Leonard RB/FB rutgers (was going to take a safety, bowe, and pozluzny, but he was gone...so i was hoping hunt fell, he was gone..i decided on leonard over kenny irons)
3rd-21st: Patrick Willis ILB ole miss (he had a fourth rd draft grade in madden...number one inside linebacker prospect though)
4th-3rd: Jake Long OT UMich (i was unable to convince him to stay in school as the wolverine coach, so i took him as the Pats coach instead...btw BB always retires in madden now, or should i say ne coach...i got mike singletary to be my head coach, and cam cameron to be off coordinator)
4th-25th: Prescott Burgess OLB UMich
4th-31st: Brandon Merriweather FS umiami
also in the offseason: re-signed asante, let graham go, tried to get heap, instead signed graham back, signed jon jansen (as i wanted him instead of katzenmoyer in his draft) to play rt, moved darnell bing (who i picked up last yr) to olb i know hed be too light but picking up rouse i had to do something with him
of course the Pats could never have this successful as a draft
cuz they dont have three first rders, three second rders, and three fourth rders
