I won a trip to the Super Bowl from Pepsi and we had a party on Saturday night in Ft. Lauderdale. Our surprise mystery NFL player turned out to be #84.
I was just happy that we got a Patriot out of 32 possible teams.
Many guests were like, "Who is that?" but I knew.
I told him I enjoyed watching him run all over Jacksonville in the playoffs last year.
I asked why his coach won't get a new sweatshirt and he laughed and said there are plenty of new ones in the locker room.
I said I hoped he stayed in New England for a long time and he said he planned to.
Watching the game was wet, wet, wet. I'd rather be cold and dry than soaked with water running off my poncho.
My wife and I wore our Brady and Bruschi jerseys to the game.
People would say, "Hey, Brady, why are you here?" and I'd say that going to the Super Bowl has become a habit in New England.
