The return of Josh McDaniels could be good news for Chad. Maybe Josh will find ways to get Chad in the game and eventually make him the player we were hoping at the beginning of the year.

Chad Ochocinco has about as good of a shot as Chad Jackson.

If anything, I think it confirms that Chad is gone this offseason, hopefully replaced by Brandon Lloyd.

Why are there 800 threads on 85 and none on say, Ryan Wendell, who has contributed more to the team?

Not even McDaniels can help Ocho when he still doesn't know where to line up. On that BJGE 53 yard screen pass, he lined up on the wrong side of the quad package and had to be told where to go by Brady.

When you're still not lining up correctly by the 16th game of the season, your prospects for returning is going to be somewhat dim.

OR.... Maybe McDaniels can convince BB that for the same Money Brandon Lloyd can do 10X more :D

What would a pass to Ocho achieve that one to Welker, Gronk and Hernandez doesn't???

If you don't like the thread then don't participate in it! Who are you to tell people what they should and shouldn't be talking about?

Go start a thread about Wendell if you want to, don't tell what other people to talk about.

OR... he could vow to leave the message board for another week, like he did last time, because he couldn't stand the BS being posted. :D

Good to see the obligatory Ochocinco thread for the week, about how he will have a good week. Somehow there have been more than 18 such threads...defying logic.

Or as a moderator here maybe he could move crappy threads like this to the practice squad where they and a lot of posters here belong just to improve the quality of the experience here on the main board for the majority of posters.

it's nice to see that the fans still have hope for him to have a brakeout game going into week 19 of the NFL season but if Mike Wallace could not get open vs denver i dont think Ocho will

This isn't a defense of Chad, he's not who most of us thought he was, but this particular incident was repeated at least two times that I saw during the games this weekend. Receivers sometimes go to the wrong side. It happens.

This is the point I think a lot of folks miss.

First, as long as the Big Three are catching 70% + of what Brady's throwing their way and posting beaucoup YAC and TDs, the #4 target (WR, RB, whatever) is going to pretty much be an afterthought. Doesn't matter if it's Ocho, Branch, Underwood, Edelman, Ridley, Woodhead, BGE, Faulk (who collectively have shared only about 25%-30% of Brady's targets) or . . . . Brandon Lloyd. It's not that they're "bad" (they aren't) or aren't getting open (they are), it's that the Big Three have been just so damn good.

Second, the Pats have averaged between 65-70 offensive snaps per game, 25-35 of which have been running plays. This leaves 35-40 passes per game, 25-30 of which have been targets to on or the other of the Big Three. Pretty much the only way Ocho, Branch or Lloyd (or any of the other potential targets) see more throws is if (A) Brady takes a target away from one of the Big Three, or (B) the Pats run the ball less.

So, it doesn't really matter if Ocho replaces Branch or Underwood replaces Och or Lloyd replaces Ocho - nothing is likely to change until some defense (or injury) provides a compelling tactical reason for Brady to target someone outside the Big Three.

The previous 16 games the classic "ropa dopa" method has been used, and during the playoffs they are going to unleash the beast...

McDaniels will get all of the praise and everyone will live happily ever after..

Amen..

Well, if Denver's coverage pays as much attention to Ocho as they did to Wallace, Gronk, Ahern and Welker are going to have very, very big days.

You could be on to something. Ochocinco will make 3 million next year which is high for his production. They might rather pay the 3 million to Lloyd who has more upside.

Wow, some people around here have inflated images themselves, does insulting posters on this board that you dont agree with make you feel important?

Its a message board about the Patriots, like it or not Ocho is still a Patriot.
