End of Regular Season Stats for Mac Jones:
3801 Yards, 67.6% Completion Rate
22 TD, 13 INT, 92.5 QB Rating.
With a slow December, looks like Mac lost both ROY and also the rookie QB record for completion% (decimal points behind Dak). A new OC might be good for Mac's continued development.

Sept1: These are pretty exciting times as Belichick is ruthless and objective so going with Mac Jones right now suggests the kid is checking off every box you would want to see in a high potential rookie QB. It's surreal for me watching and following this kid last year at Alabama, hoping he would land in New England somehow, see him fall as the 5th QB and drafted here (thank you SF), and see him surpass Cam before Sept1. Extremely, extremely impressive.
As players said, Mac EARNED the job, he won the right to be starting QB of the New England Patriots based on his preparation and growth. Here are clips below of every throw in pre-season. A fantastic play in particular is the last game, where he made major pre-snap adjustments at the line, directed all 10 guys on the adjustments, and then threw a 30 yard pass with touch and anticipation to Asiasi. That was a veteran play.
I will likely be watching bits of film after games so will also use this place also to post interesting plays specific to Mac Jones' 2021 rookie NFL season. Right now the betting odds have Mac Jones in contention with Chase and Lawrence for Rookie of the Year, and I think Mac could possibly win it given he has 6 good pass catchers on this roster.
