and just like that...*POOF*...the game we 've known and loved for almost a century...GONE BABY GONE...that ex-Disney exec and the rest of the NFL offices cabal have finally managed to mangle and disfigure our league forever. Now it's on the threshold of becoming the WWFL...worldwide football league.
You people tell me this...what NCAA football player of any repute whatsoever will want to be drafted and play in a foreign country? Oh, they'll all SAY the appropriate things and play down how they feel about it but you all KNOW no one is going to want to be in a foreign country playing ball while everyone they know and grew up with and played with in college is on an NFL team situated in the U.S.
This means the league is purely entertainment now and the players are nothing more than WWE like performers. In time this will become known as the "How To Kill The Golden Goose" decision. Good job, rich kid scumbags...you took your beautiful shiny toy and turned it into a pile of dried birdshyt in under a decade.
Yes, Sophie's Choice. Jacksonville x London.
Sportingly speaking I think it would be awful, but live outside the country in a much better city ? I do not say that to the detriment of certain cities . London , Paris ... are one of the most beautiful cities in the world.Language is not a barrier (London). The city is safe . Cosmopolitan . It has all kinds of entertainment that a small town in the United States has and more.
Why then the basketball players that are not NBA level end up playing in China , Turkey, Spain ? This argument for me is one of the easiest to refute.
They play for the Gators in college and go to Seattle how is that not the same thing?
