I'm gunna do it... we're going 19-0 next year

Pats will be competitive, win the division, be in the hunt for a bye. 16-0 was a once in a lifetime. In fact, given the pressure the players were under in 2007, I would rather go into the playoffs at 15-1. Heck, give me 12-4 with a first round bye and I'm happy.

2006: Loses AFC Championship to Manning despite 21-3 lead.
2007: RECORD SETTING SEASON
2008: Suffers season-ending injury in first game
2009: WINS DIVISION WHILE RECOVERING
2010: MVP SEASON
2011: GOES TO SB

I can't buy into the "Brady's pissed and wants revenge" theory anymore. The guy's season has ended in the most gut wrenching fashion every year since 2006. (Can make an argument for 2005 as well, though I don't feel it's as bad as any of the above)

Fixed it for you

This is a strawman point. The D was trying to give up no points, to force a 3 and out. Let's not make it sound like the Patriots were willing to give up 6 points.

Split the difference with you. This

is not a field goal. You're probably looking at 18 points if Belichick fatalistically lets the game play out the way it's "normally" done.
