It's easy, and only takes a few moments. The problem with this question is you erroneously presume we could have kept Law, and left everything else exactly the way it was.Do you think the outcome for those seasons would been different?
I think so because in the '06 ACC title game we only lost by a few points maybe if ty law was on our D he could of prevented at least one of the colts touchdowns or maybe even get a pick, same with SB42 we only lost by a few points maybe if Ty Law was on that D maybe the giants score one less TD or gets a valuable pick. Didn't mention '05 because I don't think it would of made much of a difference on the outcome of the season
How would his family have eaten?
Yup: either learn to write accurately or don't start threads -- thread titles with elementary mistakes in them are an embarrassment.
What players are you subtracting due to the massive paycheck law would have gotten?Do you think the outcome for those seasons would been different?

The guy who refused to take one?He could of took a pay cut.....
If we honestly tried to figure it out we probably could come up with something. What players are you subtracting due to the massive paycheck law would have gotten?
I'm all ears.If we honestly tried to figure it out we probably could come up with something.
Well, let's see what our good friend, Miguel, has to say about this from a numbers perspective....For starters as an example Maybe just let Corey Dillon walk. At the time it was a no brainer to re-up him his 04 season was masterful. But with hindsight if we let him walk and drafted someone that year we could free up cap space while simultaneously draft a RB to fill the whole a year before we did and double bonus no Maroney.
The moves that "wouldn't have hurt much" also would not generate the necessary cap savings.I'm sure we could find one or two other moves given hindsight that wouldn't have hurt much.
What if the Pats kept Revis last year?
I was just going to mention this. I know I sound like a petty old lady, but this grammar mistake is made all over the place today. It's "would have" not would of. If we would have kept Ty Law around, maybe we would have won. English major rant over.Would of, could of, should of ...
Keeping Givens would have proven to be a mistake. He did nothing after leaving for big $. Branch also was severely overpaid.Keeping Deion Branch and maybe David Givens in '06 would have been a better question. Because in 2004 Law played 7 games and then got put on IR and the Pats went onto win the SB with Samuel and Gay. So the team already proved they could win without Law and Law was going to be a $12.5m cap hit in a year the cap was going to be $85m and he wasn't taking a paycut and had just turned 31 years old.
In '06 if Branch and Givens were still with the team they probably win 2 more games in the regular season and go 14-2 and have homefield
