I can see more than the usual numbers of new players next year on the Pats next year. Moss should be resigned so that leaves

1 Asante Samuel will leave for money
2 Seau retires
3 Rodney retires
4 Tedy retires
5 Troy retires
6 May not be able to afford Stallworth
7/8 There should be two players who leave for more money or we don't resign.

We should still be a elite team and get some younger blood in as well. Maybe we can have a rookie LB to bring along.

Hopefully a lot. THey need to start training some new guys instead of these dead end old veterans.

Wilson, Seau, Bruschi (maybe), Colvin, Samuel, Stallworth, Brown, that safety who was injured most of the year forgot his name. Maybe GAy. WAshington.

That's 8 or 9 or 10. I think a couple from the practice squad could come on Bam Childress maybe.

The rest hopefully will be rookies and maybe a veteran ILB.

Normally there are 10-13 new players each year.
Eight would be below average.

There's a lot of turnover at the Mike Wright/Mel Mitchell/Rashad Baker/Wesley Britt level each year as well.

I would love to see 3/4 rookies in the mix but that's my opinion.

Don't forget the ones who were redshirted....excuse me IRed this year like Lua,Richardson and Thomas.

I would think that most of this year's nine draft choices would

make the team especially since there will be so many departures.

Don't be surprised if NONE of the early choices are linebackers. For

eight years BB has not developed a starting linebacker. Look for

him to sign two or three second tier prospects in the 30 years of

age catagory to one or two year contracts.
