It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Really goes to show how the Patriots treat their passing game as an extension of the running game. Brady is so damn quick on his reads, finding the open man and delivering the ball in the perfect spot to turn upfield. He rarely gives the defense a chance on those throws, his INT's are almost exclusively on downfield throws, so not only are you minimizing the fumble risk getting the ball outside the tackle box, you're also adding almost no risk of INT because of Brady's decision-making and accuracy.
The 'death by a thousand paper cuts' approach isn't the sexiest thing in the world, and it's a far cry from the air show they put on in 2007, but with this QB and these offensive weapons it's an unstoppable weapon.
It would also be interesting to see how playoff teams have done having less than 60 yards rushing. I would be surprised if any of them won a game but I could be wrong. The Pats have shown that with a special qb like brady, conventional wisdom of needing a balanced attack to win is not always true, although of course it helps. Next year, it would be good to get Brady a reliable running game. The truly amazing thing in this playoff run, especially against the great defenses of the Ravens and Seahawks is how the Pats completely made the defense aware that the running game was abandoned and were still able to effectively move the ball and score.
9 kickoffs and punts.....
total return yardage for the seahawks? 6
