In the 1995 NFL Draft, Belichick had planned to draft Brady one pick after the Jets, at #10; when Brady was selected, Belichick traded down to #30.

This is when Belichick was head coach for the Browns. Bleichick selected Craig Powell, LB, Ohio State with the #30 pick. (Powell only played only played 3 season in the NFL with 3 different teams)
